Who do you think will be up the pointy end in 2006

Obviously being a Balmain supporter I want them to do well but I think North Shore will be up there again but I think 2006 will see the resurgence of St George they have alot of quality young kids coming up . I hear good things about both C.Macdougall and A.Santarossa ( B & F and Players Player) I hear they are both quality young kids that will play alot of first grade and add to te games they have played there already. Does anyone no anything more about these two young blokes ?

North Shore Bombers will get the spoon,

then they can use that to cook the snags at the sausage sizzle because the people who normally do it cannot cook.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

As always between seasons there'll be plenty of players coming and going. So it's probably far too early to make any reliable predictions.
North Shore are losing a few players, but I still think they will be up there with the best of them next year, and Wests will have learned some lessons from this year's grand final and I expect they'll challenge again.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if St George were big improvers, likewise East Coast Eagles. And you can never write off UNSW-ES.

A different finals make up will see East Coast, Campbelltown & Wollongong in the top 4. The latter two have reportedly started the recruit process for 2006 pretty well whilst East Coast will make amends for not being there this year when they should have been.

Hard to know who will take the 4th spot, but Norths are usually there in Sept ... although is the hunger still there?

For all those that do not know me I am Scott Abercrombie, Reserve Grade Coach of the East Coast Eagles and Director of Digital Sports.
Due to the fact that I have no idea who Humphrey B. Bear is I am not sure as to wheteher or not I have actually spoken to Him/Her but what I can state for the record is that I have never guaranteed that either Baulkham Hills or East Coast Eagles will win a premiership in any of the years that I have been involved with them.
Unfortunately Mr Bear has a track record of posting information on this site that is at best ill informed and unfortunately seems to be, on the most part, directed at one club and the individuals involved with it. This makes it difficult to take his posts as anything other than misinformed rumour. Even his statement that I don't lie is incorrect because I have told the odd lie in my time, as I am sure most people involved with football clubs have.
I understand that this is a forum to promote discussion on all SydAFL issues and that this occassionally involves the posting of rumours, this is actually one of the reasons that I look at the site in order to get a feel for what is happening at other clubs, but when we start making unfounded comments about individuals I think we need to be very careful. We need to make sure that the forum maintains some level of credibility.
This may not be the view of everyone and I accept that, everyone has there own opinions on all the matters discussed here, that is the beauty of this site, however I am not willing to accept people using this site as an opportunity to take anonymous pot shots at Clubs and the individuals involved with those clubs.

                Jacks, your comments make sense.

The reading of the Riot Act.

I've let some stuff go that other moderators may have pulled people up on, partly because I've been too busy to really notice. I don't want to be a forum nazi, but I'm going to have to come down harder if some of the recent postings are to continue.
If someone, for whatever reason, has a dislike of a certain club, that's for them. But a record of consistent snipes against other posters with an association with that club is not something that I'm prepared to tolerate any more - and should it continue such a perpetrator can expect an enforced holiday from this board.

I love rumours and hot goss, and most people on this board do as well. Footy thrives on it, and so does this board. But keep it civilised please.

In the interests of natural justice, shouldn't Humphrey be entitled to a response and to state his case??

New to Sydney Footy - and trying to keep up.
Has the 'bear' been sin binned because his statement relating to the probability of an East Coast Eagle triumph are too preposterous to comprehend?

I have know idea who humphrey is and did not read his comments before they were deleted. But would erasure of his comments and an official warning be the preferred action?

Are there other websites that talk about Sydney Afl?
I quite enjoy the banter between people on chat sites. Less than inpressed by those who take it to heart as some do on this site.

Let me know if you find one, I'd be very interested myself. This forum was set up because of a lack of other messageboards for Sydney AFL! As such, it is very sparsely manned and modded. The same rules and guidelines apply here as they do elsewhere on RWO - we don't allow potential defamation of Swans or other AFL officials on the other boards, why should this one be any different?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
