    Kanga Coach

Congratulations to the Kangas on the signings they have come up with so far.
Does anyone have anymore news from down Monarch way?

Also apart from Nathan Rooney have you they lost anymore players from last years senior side?

Is there anymore news circulating from other clubs about players for next year?

Kanga coach is busy Roo, he has been trying to recruit St George players(without much luck) for the last month.

Well Shearer. Apparently you may be wrong about kanga coach not having much luck chasing crows players. New is that the Kangaroos have just signed Drew Franklin, Glenn Coleman and Jon Wright all former crows players.
I have also heard a rumour that the Kangaroos will not be the kangaroos much longer and may be returning to the old carlton strip they used to wear.

              From Sportingpulse:

              Jon Wright 2005
              Senior matches: 5 Goals: 0
              Reserve Matches: 11 Goals: 2

              Drew Franklin 2005
              Senior Matches: 13 Goals: 4
              Reserve Matches: 2 Goals: 1

              Glenn Coleman 2005

Thanks for that info. Although you cant read to much into the amount of goals they have kicked because that would depend on what position they play. But having one of the players play only a handful of senior games last year at a club that wasnt at the top of the table you would have to say that it is not exactly a major signing. But the kangaroos need all the players they can get there hands on to re-establish themselves as one of the top clubs in sydney football.

Pekay, I wouldn't know them from a bar of soap mate, I was just contributing to the discussion. I think perhaps club B & F counts would be a more accurate descriptor?

I would think a club which failed to make finals footy last year could use every player available. St George may not feel these players fit their plans for next year and thus do not mind their departure. But just like a bank, they dont care if I take my $20K deposit to a different bank, but if everyone did that they would start to feel the pinch.

                        Campbelltown Recruits

Fellas a brief run down on each of the above mentioned players is on our website.

All are quality senior players in my opinion and will certainly be a boost for us in 2006 and beyond.

In addition Coleman has been invited to train with Werribee Football Club in the VFL prior to christmas.

Jon Wright is a young player with a fantastic attitude and work ethic who I believe given the opportunity, will develop into a quality onballer / crumbing fwd over 2006.

Drew Franklin will fill our number one ruck role. He is another player who has a great attitude and work ethic. He certainly has a lot more to offer than others believe.

The club has retained almost 100% of last years list as well as regaining the services of a number of players who did not play in 2005.

What about Moller & Rodereda. They were in doubt for next year. Are they definately playing?

Both trained on Thursday night and have not indicated that they are thinking of playing anywhere else.

Good to hear them 2 are staying. I heard Radlee was thinking of hanging the boots up. Well things sound as though they are going along nicely down there. The Kangaroos may be a bit of a dark horse for next year.
