Well done
Congratulations to Dylan. Its great for the SFL to see a player get picked up in the Draft.
Does anyone know if the swans had him on the rader? I know we will never really know if the Swans would have picked him, it makes it hard ifas there first pick was 51, but why didnt they make him a priority pick?Comment

The Swans didn't have any priority picks - because of their trades, if they were interested in Addison all they could do was to wait till pick 51. But by then it was too late.
There's priority zone picks for the rookie draft, but not for the main draft. NSW players are the same as any others, and are eligible to be picked up by any club.
Congratulations to Dylan Addison, and best wishes to him for his future with the Bulldogs.

I am sure the Swans would have been interested in him with Dylan having played for Swans reserves , I am sure the Crows would have also been interested however both had later picks.Comment

It doesnt mean though that there will not be more NSW players drafted though the swans and other clubs do invite rookies that were not drafted to come down and train with the team and they can then be added to the clubs list. I believe this is how sundquist got into the swansComment

Keiran Jack
Kieran was not invited to the draft camp so he was not "on the rader" with any other AFL teams it seems.
But i am sure a player like him will be picked up by the Swans on their rookie list.
If not he could be a good pick up for Penno, although its unlikely!Comment

A question.
The Crows pick up a bit of cash from the AFL given that Addison was drafted. Anyone know how much they get???
Will clubs get similar cash if they have a player that gets onto a rookie list???? Or will they get something if they rookie then makes it to a senior list???Comment

- $3000 when player is drafted
- another $3000 after his first game
- $2400 on his 10th game
- and a further $2400 if is he's still on an AFL list after three years.
$3000 minimum to St George and $10,800 if Dylan plays 10 games in the next 3 years and is still on the Bulldogs list.Comment
