    BDAFL Web Site

Must congratulate whoever looks after the Black Diamond league site. Its constantly updated, talks about the youg guys who make the team to play in ACT for a RAMS preselection trial.
They have had 4 updates to the site in the past week.

Is the Sydney AFL participating in this ACT carnival?

Would be nice to some sort of updates on Sydney footy from the league heavies...maybe resourcing doesn't facilitate it.

The site is maintained by League President, Ian Granland. I agree it is a very good site.

The U/18 team you are refering to is part of the pathway for the National Championships. The team, called the Northern Heat, is made up from players from the Central West AFL, North Coast AFL & the BDAFL and will be playing against teams representing, South East NSW (Cats), Southern NSW (Stingrays), Southern NSW (Rebels), Sydney North (Starz), Sydney South (Pigeons)to give all young players in the state the chance to represent NSW/ACT. The Carnival will take place this weekend, and (I think) will continue with curtain raiser games to NAB Cup/NAB Regional challenge matches around the state.

This has been brought about through the work of the new talent manager, Darren Denneman, who should be congratulated for his efforts. A similar path will be undertaken for the U/16 Championships, as well as U/15, U/14, U/13 & U/12 Talent ID programs.
