This is staggering, are we going to have photocopied, stapled hand-outs at the clubs, if we can find someone with the time to bother? I can see no record being at games at all.

Is the cost really so restrictive, as most of the work on it is still as far as I can tell being done.

Perhaps the powers that be could find the cost for these out of the budget for the awards nights and similar events. Don't get me wrong it is a great night, but maybe a little OTT to be at one of the most expensive locations in Sydney with TV guests (apologies if Berretts did it for nothing), there are many cheaper suitable venues more central for all clubs, especially when a table is purchased by each club, whether they attend or not. (Although I think the last point might be moot as I think all clubs attend anyway)

This is just one example off the top of my head of seemingly extravagant spending, and now they want us to print our own records?

I know this is probably not the biggest issue facing us in Sydney footy, but shows the level of vision (none), I think.

Wheels dont look at me i aint got the time anymore i have done it for the last 2 years and it sucks, what are they doing with all these fees we are paying? it seams to me that they are just lining there own pockets

I'm sure they make damn sure they spend it on something just so the budget won't be reduced, but I'm stuffed if I know what.

credit where credit is due - I think the first edition of the 2006 Footy Record was an excellent read & well put together. well done to the NSWAFL who obviously took on some of our input.

A pity that not all clubs contributed to the "Club Notes" section.

Hoping that when I arrive at the game tomorrow it will be printed in colour.
