Ash did you get your name from punching too many cones ?

Based on your logic some on the best footballers Ive seen who prepare themselves well all year round would never have missed a game in their lives rather that be the chronicly injured messes that they are.

And how do you explain when at twenty seven and the fittest I have ever been I did my AC twice, broke ribs and did major ankle ligament damage yet at 31 and 20kgs overweight with slightly elevated BP I didnt miss a game let alone break a finger nail all year.

Cause you probably didn't break out of gallop.

Lets look at the main point of ash's post. I would question their work rate as well. Any team that gets pumped by over 100 points should have a good hard look at themselves and their game plan. I guess we will see how they respond this week....

Mate your being to kind - I was lucky to get to a canter. Also a gallop is generally flat track.

But seriously Ive done it and seen plenty of others prepare well and train their arse off only to keep being struck down by injury.

On the other hand one of the best footballers Ive ever played with used to show up and train after six beers then on game day arrive after a big nite have a smoke at 1/4 time 2 at half another 3/4 and play on ball with none or very very few changes and I only ever recall one injury (ruptured spleen). Go figure.

That may be true. Imagine how good they would have been without th e6 beers- probably in a better team or higher standard.

Tara- I assume your female or transsexual, please only respond if you have a convincing argument. Of course some people are better than others no matter how much another trains. POint is, one of equal skill and with preparation gives themselves a far greater opportunity for success.

As with Uni, it was Alan Davidson. There was a crash at the set of lights during 2nd 1/4 to confirm my presence.

And yes, I can comment on abuse as it was highly evident as was the lack of effort (accept a minority). Too many guys trying to look the part instead of acting.

If Uni dont beat Norths today, kiss their season goodbye and start rebuilding for 2007.

Good to see Gong in it til half time. Just shows ECE are vulnerable.
SHould be a cracker today Crows v WEsts. Much closer than one may thing.

My Penno to cruise through. Pity finals not now as we are peaking- hopefully not to soon.

Ash Im neither female or a tranny. My eldest daughter is named Tara. I have played footy at the one club in Sydney for the past 15 years.

I was keeping things tounge in cheek however your statement is rubbish. Sure lack of preperation definately contributes to injuries but there a a whole host of other factors involved as well.
Take a look at the grounds that are used for senior football in Sydney. A few are excellent most a very ordinary and some are quite simply dangerous and shouldnt be used at all. Gawley at Cronulla is a disgrace and I feel for the guys that have to play their all the time. Greygums at Penrith is worse.

Tell me in back in 98 when I was fit and a well prepared 27 year old was my broken vertebrae caused by lack of preparation? Or do you think that the exposed sprinkler head I landed backwards on may have had something to do with it. I can rattle of a number of ground related injuries from knees to torn achillies tendons.

People here jumped at you because your opinion was rather narrow minded to say the least.

Ash, now that I realise you are from Pennant Hills, all the crap you are talking seems to make sense. Firstly, I think you should get your facts straight before approaching your keyboard, even then you might consider getting someone else who can actually type to do it for you...

Firstly, the only sensible thing you have said is in reference to the Wests/St George game. Well picked. It goes downhill from there. "If Uni don't beat Norths today..." clearly you haven't checked your draw, Norths played Balmain at Drummoyne Oval, while Uni aren't traveling well at the moment, I don't think they can be confused with Balmain just yet. I would have thought that you would know who was playing "your" Penno, but obviously you are not a dedicated supporter.

Lastly, why do you berate the Eagles for having a successful start to the year, and then turn around and say Penno are peaking? As far as I can tell, there has been no one from the Eagles on this site gloating about their current spot on the ladder. Rightly so, as they would be all too aware of years gone past and would be stupid to big note themselves after 7 rounds. You on the other hand, well, you follow Penno....

                  Hey Ash,

What is your involvement with Penno?

I think that is something a lot of people want to know. Particularly those involved at Pennant Hills that don't seem to know you

                      Mr Kefalas,

                      Condolensces for the weekend.

HOwever, you guys may be a chance to get your season back on track. A win over the gong this week and the bye- hey all of a sudden you are on a role.

You are doing injustice to the jersey number you wear for the club. I remember a guy who played in that number 10 years ago and the player before him. Its a big ask to wear the number 1.

Kefalas, chin up. Think you playCrows after that. Could make it 3 as they are on 2 game losing streak.

                      Stranger things have happened.

Ash, if you think I_Heart_Kefalas is, in fact, Peter Kefalas and not one of his team mates taking the proverbial, then you are as dim-witted as your posts suggest that you are.

I honestly just don't understand why Ash has such big wraps for ABBott!!! Everyone knows Lavery does all the hard work in that forward line...

It may be cause Lavery is so modest, and he is happy to just go about what he does with out the razzle dazzle and RWO praise................................... ??
