Will be interesting to see if ECE live up to the hype generated this year. They have no finals experience and Wests showed last year that one loss all year means nothing if you cant pull it together for the last day in September.

Looks like a 3 horse race after 6 rounds though. Can anyone seriously see a side outside of ECE, St George or Pennant Hills winning the flag in 2006???

No team could possibly be odds on so early in the season.

              Odds on

The coaches are all in Eagles jackets and hats & are all miked up a la AFL coaches. They look so much more professional than everyone other team I have watched this season.

They Should be odd on this early.... Well with all their matching jackets, hats and don't forget thier microphones. Could anyone really match it with them????

Can i have Norths at $12?? I would definitely have $20 on that. That is great value. North Shore had the same start last year. Very slow starter but know how to go on with it in the finals. Ea$t coa$t definitely dont know that feeling as they have never been to the finals. We will see how the Eagle$ deal with the pressure. It does seem to be a bit unfair that the Eagles play most of their run home at Henson. It would feel like a home ground!

I think the top 4 is already sorted out just the positioning will be the big question. East Coast, St. George, Penno and North Shore seem like the ones to beat.

Firstly North Shore a far from the teams of their past, their spot in the final four is far from secure. Them, Town and Wests will all go for that spot.

Secondly, as for East Coast - "All the gear, No idea!"
So should every SFL team invest in some new jackets and be percieved as a good side. Come the business end of the season lets asses them, not on their hand me down uniforms.

It appears those gardeners within the SFL that like prunning tall poppies are working overtime. By some of the talk on this thread one can be confussed by what 'having an idea' actually means. Maybe the East Coast coaching staff may be best served by dressing down and wearing potatoe sacks to games. Maybe they should use tin cans and fishing wire to get their messages to the bench. Better still to save looking too professional, perhaps the coaches should tie their messages to a boomerang to avoid using a runner altogether. Would it be a massive set back for the league if clubs in Sydney displayed some form of professionalism and tried to better themselves? By the posts from some of the parrots that use this forum, it would be safe to assume the answer to this question is yes. I tell you what, I wouldn't mind my side being 5-0 at this stage of the season.

                        good point

                        fair enough house.
I fully agree the professionalism of all clubs in the SFL must improve significantly.

Unfortuantely the level is only slightly higher than your average touch footy or austag team you put together with your mates.

Maybe the CRows could have done with one of those boomerangs last week v Norths.

Nice market framed.20/1 Wests seems like good value seeing they are 3rd and the fourth team is 7/2 and the sixth team is 11/1.How do you get a bet on?
