I don't remember Eynaud as a player, but I don't see how he could be blamed.
He's a passionate speaker (and certainly the loudest - you could hear his quarter-time speech last week from the other side of the ground, and that's not the first time); and a couple of times I've gone into the Wests huddle to hear him speak. I've never once heard him telling people to go for cheap shots - I've heard him telling players to go in hard for the ball, but always (at least when I've been listening) within the rules.
I doubt he had any knowledge that someone who wasn't even playing that day was going to jump the fence. I don't think he'd have encouraged or condoned it.

Peoples, pull your heads in. I know it was an emotional ending to the game on Saturday and passions run high; but please be careful what you say.
It's great to keep the talk going, and let the spirited exchanges continue; but keep to the issues and no personal sniping at individuals in the game. I don't want to have to edit posts or lock this thread.

As someone who coaches against Kev i find the comments on here laughable. His teams are always hard at the ball, extremely well prepared & ive never seen them act in a thuggish way at all.

I dont think any coach in the Sydney League would deliberately instruct one of there players to illegally take out another. You cannot compare the game now to the late eighties or early nineties.

You can accuse (or speculate for those preferring euphemisms) someone of racial vilification but don't call someone an ordinary footballer or else the mod will step in.

In my opinion, Eid and Med have had a "brain explosion". This is vastly different to being a sniper or thug on the field which I believe they are not. I am not condoning the actions of Saturday but lets not get carried away with attacking them with traits I believe are not true.

The result of the game was thoroughly and professionally investigated by the NSW/ACT AFL in consultation with the AFL.

The result of the investigation was that the final score should of been in fact a draw and not a 2 point win to St George. As far as I am aware St George were given an opportunity to dispute the findings and recommendations of the investigation and have obviously done so.

Since it is cyrstal clear what the correct scores were, I am unsure what anyone could be disputing.

I realise that it is an important outcome for both clubs (it would have us both on 7 wins) but if it were reversed and I can only speak for myself, I would not be disputing the decision if I knew it to be true.

If your appeal is upheld, do you expect Fox Footy to be at "every game" of the season just incase a similar situation occurs???

You could set a precedence for the league and any logical person would say that iuf upheld, this would have to happen

Finally someone who agrees with my previous posts.

It is obvious this behaviour is endorsed.

As it is habitual and no action is taken by the coach, it then must be applauded in house.

If I was an opposition coach Id have someone sit behind the opposition box!!!!!!

Ash, considering there was no reports from the game can i assume that the onfield "fight" was nothing more than a push and shove?

What was your first hand view of the alleged fight.

This is by no means supporting Ash's comments, but my understanding is that the NSWAFL are investigating and some disciplinary action may follow.

Using video evidence is hardly new and has been used in tribunal hearings etc when available for a long time at all levels!

Remember that this is not a judgement error but a recording error. There were no disputed scores.

You don't need Fox Footy at every game to ensure the scores are correct, if both umpires can't work it out and the official time keepers from both clubs record the scores independantly (as they should) you have it covered.

If you also have the game footage you would be dumb not to use it....I noticed St George had their cameras rolling that day as well, maybe they recorded a different result to everyone else?
