Well well well people from Wests bashing Bankstown and

St George - seems to be a common practice these days

As for your crap about Bankstown seniors and juniors both of you

have NFI about the truth. You should both get your info straight

before you post such rubbish. Actually there is a person at your

club who has impeccable credentials and a long history at

both senior and junior level at Bankstown who may enlighten you

both . Tara your comment about Bankstown juniors dropping off

is a joke. Look at the Sydney South Juniors annual report on the

sydney afl website and look at Bankstown numbers.

No one is bashing anyone. The topic is about Syd Uni and juniors. I havent said or implied a bad thing about either club. I dont claim to know it all, but while your there point out what I have said regarding Bankstown and St George that is incorrect.

Roscoe how is it a joke. When I first played with Bankstown Sports we had large numbers of Juniors and they definately dropped off over the next 5 years. My season we had at least 2 sides in all age groups right up to seniors and inclding under 19's (think it was 19 could have been 20). Tell me do the still have these numbers becuase I recall that at some stage there were no 16's and those kids were playing with Penshurst?

Bankstown Seniors fell apart for a number of reason including poor relationships with the Junior side of things. When we merged with South West we wanted to play half our home games at Kelso and the other half at Rosedale but the Junior Club would have none of it. At one stage we were doing preseason training on Kelso and its surrounds but were verbally abused in disgusting fashion by the then President of the Juniors and told in no uncertain terms we were not welcome at the ground. Great for football isnt it? It has only been in the past two years that relationships between Bankstown Juniors and South West have improved.

For the record Im Bankstown at heart (despite being a shire boy) not Liverpool. When I joined there I expected to play there until I was too old to get a game. It was for that reason that when we folded I went to St George and trained there with the intention of playing there for 3 months. I never would have joined another SFA club as I wouldnt have wanted to play against former teammates. I only left St George after learning of the merger with Liverpool for the opportunity to continue playing with the same blokes I always had.

Back on topic, congratulations Tara on your appointment of Jamie Pitt as Senior Coach for next year. I noticed on your website his list of achievements and he certainly has a good pedigree in the game. I know we at Penrith had a couple of informal chats with him and my understanding is that he was nothing but professional.

Jamie does have a long list of achievements including in the coaching dept. I thought he was a bit quiet to be a coach but obviously I am wrong there. Good luck to him and to SWS. He is a great bloke. I have always thought the most important job of a coach is to be able to keep the good cattle you have and attract new faces. Being at a new club with no strong Sydney background I hope he can achieve this.

In fact, I hope his appointment will be a catalyst to bring SWS and Wests closer together. I think it is fair to say we are building a relationship but it aint concrete yet.

I can't comment on what's happening at Wests as I haven't heard anything, but I can tell you that we have not officially spoken to any players regarding 2007 yet apart from this years list.

We will obviously be keen to speak to any player that indicates that they are interested in playing with us next season.

Are you referring to Wests or Saints players, because if you are talking about Saints players, that is quote of the year.

In answer to your questions Rooster(how appropriate).

Saying that while they arent alone, C/town have approached some of our players. Its the nature of the comp and we are used to it.

Two players i believe are going with Hally next year, Ben Kinnaird & Nick Todd, they came down with Hally from Qld last year. Ive spoken to most of our young blokes and like last year we will keep the players we want to retain.

2007 is a long way away and as i have previously posted what i do in 2007 is totally dependant on my employment.

As for me being the reason for coaches leaving, your a deer with no eyes.
