CB no offence taken. If you had a look at the two clubs I know about then you'd see people working there behinds off behind the scenes.

It would also help if the AFL did their job properly. Getting umpires to all games would be a start. Notice Im not requesting good umpires - im prepared to give a bit of slack

Funny thing is with the exception of Campbelltown the other five teams you have mentioned are stuggling to survive at the moment and without the input of keen volunteers could all easily go to the wall.

I expect both ourselves and the Jets to be much stonger positions next year but wouldnt be suprised that without some support from the AFL one and maybe two of those sides are gone.

Sorry Tara will have to pull you up on this i know iam an ex-Bankstown boy as well but Liverpool where allready in div. 1 it was Penrith , Bankstown and Camden, we beat Penrith in a grandfinal in 92' and then went to first Div. in 93' with Penrith and Camden went down the coast (As it is a heap cheaper and you do acctually get umpires to all grades most of the time)

It was before my time i moved to sydney in 90' at 19 and they had been down for a couple of years the so at a guess i would say 87'

And Tara, hopefully Penrith at least will be around for a few years yet, although it's not getting any easier. The local junior competition which has been going 5-6 years now is our biggest hope. If we can get these kids at 15-16 thinking that playing for the Rams is a worthwhile thing to do, then we might have a decent future. Note the use of "if" and "might"!
