Looks as those not only have the Dockers recruited well but so too the Roos . Sure look like Crows are taking plenty of hits with those two leaving , Dockers have poached some also , maybe some of the Crows decisions this year have backfired cos alot of their youth is heading of for opportunities they just werent getting .

Campbelltown will be surperb from what I hear , spoke to some Camden boys who are on their way across ...CONFIRMED

Looks like a dockers / kangaroos grand final then Kanga !!

And Garnes do you actually have a job and ever get off your computer

From what I can remember, there were a lot of kids (from both Newcastle and the Coast) from that era who were playing both domestically and in Sydney, which could explain the overlap with the Mcveigh boys.

It would be remiss not to mention that Luffy was a Nelson Bay boy, however if my memory serves me correct, he moved to the area as a late teen (17??), before being picked up by the Swans.

Tiger let me say firstly that I wish Balmain all the best for next season and beyond. I was fortunate enough to have a chat with a couple of gentleman from your administration a few weeks ago and it certainly sounds like things are looking up and the direction of the club is in good hands.

Bare in mind though that Hally was Co Coach and directly or indirectly must take some responsibilty for the lack of opportunity for young players at the Crows last season.

I am not 100% sure whether he was planning to be Co Coach or had it put to him once he was already there or who made what decisions but it certainly seems there are more than a few unhappy players down at Olds!

And yes.....I am fortunate enough to do a lot of my work on a computer and often have a quick look at this forum during my breaks!

I dare say the reason that you cant name name's Tiger Town is because you have no idea. Since you have been posting on here your predictions have amounted to nothing leaving you with zero credibility.

I will go further and say that none of last years under 18's from St George will be at Balmain next year. It would be hard for Hally to try and recruit them when he wouldnt know there names.

As part of Hallys conditions of going to Balmain he had to bring with him players. Of course he is going to tell Balmain that he has got a heap of kids ready to come over if it meant him getting a job.

Tell me why a kid from Cronulla, who is perfectly happy playing with his mates at a successful club, would want to drive for an hour through peak hour traffic twice a week to get beat by 100 points every week.

The only way you might not get another spoon is because of Sydey Uni's entry into the comp.

hey shearer.. true the tigers have struggled for the past 4 seasons... but times change. its the football cycle. just look at the AFL and the lions and power .balmain are on the rise. a new logo for a new era. 2006 looks to be an interesting comp, but dont be so sure that the 'dockers' will be down the bottom.

                    cmon the dockers

Its not the smartest idea to bag a team/club that really is on the up.From what iv heard, its a great feeling about 07 at Tigerland, new coach always bring fresh hope, coupled with some new players and an AFL affiliation with Freo(still cant get a grip on the colours)it all looks good at Drummoyne. And if they need any ammo, they need look no further than these pages....

The only reason the AFL goes in cycles is because of the draft, if you took that away the same teams would win it every year.

Shearer was referring to the AFL, not the Sydney AFL. He's right - if there was no draft or salary cap then the same handful of teams would be the only ones with any chance at all of winning the comp and the rest of the teams would just be there to make up the numbers. Like the English Premier League is.
