I do hope we can live up to that Tara, we're not expecting to set the world on fire, however we are going to give it everything we have.At the end of the day, we are being promoted in a round-about way, so a few wins will be a good start n see where we go from there. I'll fire one back n say your boys will be the movers this year, all sounds good numbers wise in the South West, and a very well-credentialled coach in Pitt should help attract some good players.

East Coast will be hard to beat again, but im not sure if they can break there finals hoodoo.

Penno will be strong as usual

Rumour has it Withers has been training with C'town. If true with Withers and Moller up forward there will be some opposition coaches that will find it hard to match up on them.

Wests will lose a few players, but im sure they will open the cheque book and gain a few.

Shearer, any truth to the rumour that Robbie Ahmat will be a crow next year?

Inetresting you have us so far down the list Roo. Its good that plenty of people underestimate the club considering we have only lost 4 senior players from last year and gained quite a few.

In answer to your question, yes Robbie Ahmat is playing with Saints next year, he and Aaron Convery(Wests) have come over and will be playing assistants to Togs.

C/Town will do well with Withers back there but what other class players are on the way out of there?

I havent heard to much about St George for next year so that would be why they are down the list, but it is only a prediction.

Ahmat is a good pick up, hopefully for your sake he can get on the field more than what he has in the last couple of seasons.

Apparently Withers, Lees, Moller are back as well as Rooney and Foran after a season in Melbourne. Not sure of any others though.

I thought Convery was headed over to SWS with their newly appointed coach - Pitt. If this isn't the case anymore, has Convery converted any other Wests players to the crows??

shearer question i pose to you is can you name the class players that are on the way out of campbelltown ?????? also noticed that you had them outside the four as well...????? why is that???? they still contain the same list as last year and sounds like with the added players of withers moller ed wilson and rooney they can only be stronger than the team they had last year that just missed the four ....

i think you stepping down from coaching is the best thing for sydney footy.....

I expect East Coast will be up there - they'll have a point to prove after the shock in this year's grand final. And I can't see Penno going down very far.
Beyond that, it's a very even contest. Campbelltown could be on the way up, Withers is a good signing for them. Sydney Uni may struggle with the step up to Premier Division level, but I'm sure they won't be easybeats.

In 2006, every club had a significant number of under-18 players getting a taste of senior football. One of the keys to next season will be which of those players can take the next step and become regular senior players.

Campbelltown I expect to be real contenders but cannot go beyond ECE as they are geared for success on and off the field.

Likewise the Gong need to step up and they also have a good bunch of kids they need to take the next step.

Key to UNSW is how the new VSU affects their funding. Sydney Uni I expect to struglle as always to compete at SFL level and I could see both these clubs back in SFA in 3 - 5 years.

Sure We$ts will flash the cash but the loss of Withers, Convery and others will surely see this as a challenging year for Coach Kev and his legendary motivational skills.
Once again you all seem to forget Balmain.Do you know who they really have signed?? St George can babble on about how few they have lost.Do they really know?? Has your club lost someone to Balmain? Best you check before it is toooo late!!!
