Reidy before he got injured and Parker were probably our main two ruckman. Parker being the shortest ruckman in the comp probably couldn't be described as lanky so it must be the B TRAIN...

There will be no shortage of Ruckman this year though..

Always the last to know, but the first one to show concern. Even though Manly Pete is about 10 or so years older than me, he still knows he's referred to as "PK2" or "PKsquare", as even though he's on the peninsula and i'm at the foot of the mountains, this town just aint big enough for both of us!From Hawkesbury Pete

Someone tells me a young bloke from C'town Mark Mendola looks set to build on last years dominance. Anyone know what's with that?

Seriously Rooster you have got to be kidding yourself if you think Parker can make it through another season of footy considering how much he has played in recent seasons. He may have got a few touches late in the year, however I think the heat of Darwin and the speed in which they play will be a telling issue for him this year. I've seen the pic posted by The Blanket and the ball isn't even in the picture so how do we know you even took it? To answer your question I don't play the game but a keen follower of the sport and know when a player of Ahmat's ability has been a disappointment!!

You have got me interested Key Forward. I have been thinking that the Rooster is getting paid to promote Troy Parker, but what I want to know has anyone ever seen Troy Parker and the Rooster in the same room at the same time, or is this an embarassing case of self promotion ... I choose the latter

I'm new to this web and Sydney Football in general, last year only. These last few threads, well just about all this topic, seem to talk about Troy Parker. Forgive me for my ignorance and knowledge of Sydney Footy, but who is Troy Parker. Has he played AFL footy, if so which club. Who does he play for in the Sydney league? Would he be the no.1 footy player in Sydney AFL?

goes to show how bored or unimaginative people are in this forum

He is not even the best at his club but a fair player at this level nonetheless

You could say a lot of things about Parker! But one of the things you can't say is that he did not perform last season, he was only a couple of votes from being our best player finishing Runner Up in our B&F to the dashing Jason Fleming, yes despite him being missing for the first 3 games and missing a crucial game late in the season. He also finished equal 5th with Flemo in the phelan so I guess that would put him amongst the best players in the comp last year?

And for the record he doesn't mind talking it up a bit.......and I have heard some late mail about him dominating this season.....may of been from Parks but I am inclined to believe it!!!

Good to hear from you KangaCoach and you make some good points. I guess only time will tell how well Parker will go this year. As the saying goes actions speak louder than words and if that's the case in his book then he may go alright. It would be good to hear what the Rooster has to say about this or has he shut down dominating the Darwin league?
