At Penrith, unfortunately Rob Murie has had to stand down due to work commitments.

Peter Laspatzis has taken up the senior job with Kim Beasland as his assistant.

Lyle Thomas will take over the 18's.

Seems to be a bit harder this year for clubs to sort out their coaching staff?

I know its a thankless task at times (unless you win premierships!) ... but I have a gut feeling that it is struggling this year.

Reserves Coach for Campbelltown is Rick Scicluna and Peter "Chook" Free is doing the 18's as previously mentioned.

I would need a bigger list to name all of Chook's assistant but I can tell you that they are running one of the most professional U18 programs that I have seen.

Keep an eye on Campbelltown U18's in 2007.

Congrats and good luck to Loopy on his appointment. I have no doubt he will add enormous value to the coaching staff.....good to see someone else also benefitting from the wisdom of my great mate.........?

            Good luck for season 2007.

KangaCoach - i thought Brad Freney was your reserve grade coach? Is he still playing there this year?

Good luck to Rick, he's a good bloke and will definately enjoy the professionalism there after the last few years of frustrations.

Also on a lighter note a question for Kanga Coach.

Glen is it true Rick was instrumental in getting Campbelltown back in the famous Navy Blue

Too right Rafters, seems like there's only half as many coaches around as there needs to be.

Apart from the ones given to me here by East Coast, Penrith and Campbelltown (and of course the Jets), all the others I got off the respective websites.
So obviously these clubs with missing positions have cause for concern if they can't publicly announce coaches (and I'll excuse SWS from this as we all know the problems they have been afflicted with through NO fault of their own).

BMR I will be coaching this year as injuries have had doctors tell me not to play again. Then again maybe I should have listened to people and not played in the first place to save myself the embaressment - Hehe. On a brighter note we are confident we will be fielding a competetive side this year with the aim to be back asap.

Where have I heard that before?

That's right - it could often be said about me.

Yes, the great man is still playing and currently working hard on getting the fitness level up. He will also be giving me a hand in the coaches box this year.

Why, does he follow the them? If he does I will of course have to say yes, otherwise I wouldn't think so!
