    New AFL Canberra general manager

David Wark just got the gig.

Good bloke and good manager. Continues the growing association between the Norwood Footy Club (where he's been GM for 3 years) and ACT/NSW football.

Has his work cut out for him: the obvious problems include Weston Creek struggling to field a competitive side, Wagga Tigers frequently threatening to leave and the Swans' reserves casting around for a tougher game if they can find it. That's 3 teams at risk in an 8-team comp. No small ask.

Fantastic to see a person with talent on the scene at last!!! Slight problem though........................ Wagga Tigers pulled out last night!!!!!!!!! Did the Swans approach the SANFL to join in 2008???? I KNOW THEY DID!!! Get them to categorically deny that! Canberra has had it. Sadly Mr Wark will probably walk after he finds out the real truth about Canberra. Then there's the umpires.........................A Development Officer for umpiring and he isn't one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????
