My mail with regards to Matty Withers is that he went back mainly due to travelling constraints with relation to working in the mines down his way. Also has a young family.

I'm aware of a few players at Wests who remain on contact with him. I have not heard any bad word from Wests about his request to go back to C'town nor on his part to Wests.

My comments are directed at certain coaches & admins of clubs.
They have no vision, these committees panda to individuals each year gaving up cash so they can look good. THEY DO NOTHING FOR THE KIDS!

Your Kidding arent you???? Penant Hills pay 30-40k more on players than east coast eagles and this is visible on their balance sheet that they left for everyone to view. You would be surprised at what east coast players actually earn!!!! Get your facts right you salted peanut

Your right about P/H, but they know how to hide it (they call it there kids programe). I know of 2 brothers @ P/H 1 in the 16's who recieves $200/week to deliver 10 brochures to letterboxes in the Prez's street. & His older brother just gets $150/game ($350/game). This is so the other ruckman in the team don't crack it!

Where do you get the balance sheet from? Can you get it for all teams?
Would dearly love to get Blues & Dockers sheet for next year so we can expose them for who they are!

Only problem is that you will have to burn ANOTHER 2 players.

A suggestion maybe go for a couple of older ones this time!

Any player that doesnt have there deal with a particular club drawn up in a written contract signed by both parties is absolutely crazy. That way any promises made would be backed up by the contract.

Settle down GoEagles, that noose you used to choke with last September seems to be impeding the blood to your brain. Both you and i know never to trust what's published by the numbers men. Your best judgement on Penno payments is as good as mine on ECE.

As for the rain in GF week, well if we are as cashed up as you think we are i'll see if the committee can send you a nice bunch of Sour Grapes to soften the pain of your demoralising loss.

I'll have to admit I can rarely resist a giggle when the suggestion comes up that clubs are throwing money at players to buy a top team. And I would hazard a guess that most of the $ figures thrown up on forums like this one are bull@@@@. I don't know for sure, but I strongly suspect the extra money being offered to a player in most cases would barely cover the extra petrol to drive to training.
Players switch clubs for all sorts of reasons, but I'd be surprised if any player switched only for the money.

Can you please send me a satchel of the coffee you are consuming. I am not sure whether you would pass a SAFL sanctioned drug test. Firstly you must realise that if this money you speak of on this site is 100% factual you must not post it. This site is strictly non-factual. Secondly I agree with what you say about Hall, overpriced, overpaid and plays like a haemophiliac. The third point regards Withers. I know for a fact he agreed to play with Wests this year. He got up and spoke at B&F night and said how much he loved the club and how we all had to stick together. He should have prefaced his comments by saying we should all stick together unless we can get over $200 a game more at another club. Of course it's a family decision just like Lote Tuquiri will make a decision in consultation with his family regarding his playing future. After he signs for the most money he is of course going to say " I spoke to the family and decided it was in the best interest for my football to go to (Insert Highest Bidder) Club.
