    Norris,

Point taken, I agree 100% with the AFL Sydney approach. My comments where written when this looked unlikely. I am the first to bag the boys at HQ but I am also willing to praise them when they have done something well. Whether this was at the hands of Garry B or not the boys are to be commended on this decision. It will be fantastic to have the U/18 boys play before their senior teams.
    Give it a wash!

It would be interesting to note how many of the clubs' spots were secured in Premier Cup before the "grading" carnival...

I believe it is fair enough if the ammount of sides warrant it. This is where the circus performers at league head quarters begin to work under their big top (again). Instead of of making sure all Premier League sides have a side in the Premier Cup, they make it a free for all and include sides that don't have any alliance with a Premier club. It should be set up so every club in Premier Division has a u/18 side or has an alliance with a junior club. This is set in stone. So every week the under 18's play followed by the Ressies and then the main game. It cuts down on the cost of an under 18 side playing at a different venue and possibly a different day. It also fosters club spirit by enabling the boys and their parents to watch the main game. The remaining under 18 sides who are left over should then form the Challenge Cup. I would not have thought that this was that hard to organise. If a club has two sides in the comp like North Shore did last year, one plays in the main comp and one plays in the inferior comp. Is it just me or does that sound to simple for the clowns to organise. It would actually be less work and help keep clubs together. If sides without a senior club whinge, tell them to allign themselves with a senior club or play in the inferior comp.

By the way I think we should have a competition to spot the green and gold fuel man. I saw him waving $5.95 Pizza's at the Dominoes at Bondi!!
        Bryan,

get your facts right! Understand that all places were agreed to by all clubs bar wests before the grading started. This is the NSWACT running the show.

Before you come back with a comment that is going to get Tara's C4, C5 and C6 bulging and Woodsy crying to the moderator just slow down and take a breath. Even if the grading trials were slanted at getting the premier leaugues under 18s in the premier division, who cares. The right result has been achieved. This is the first time in a while I have seen the AFL Sydney make a decision based on creating a proper cultural environment for the premier division. Not worrying about the gumbies in the lower grades, not worrying about baby junior clubs who haven't got a senior club. They have focused on setting up a proper structure, the same as all other footballing states. Forget the argument that this is Sydney footy, that is crap. We need to do it right and whether the benifits come in a year or 10 years it's all about structuring it to work in the future. The Sydney footy argument that people use is a cop out. Clubs like Penno, ECE and on early indications Cambelltown are not looking to next year they are looking at being a force for the next 10 years. At last the league is looking at being a great comp to the next 10 years and beyond. I believe we should applaude them for having the bottle to make a call and stand by it!

                  Rooboy,

What gossip can you pass onto this forum to help the Sydney footballing community be better informed. I am hoping you will be able to shed some light on a high profile coach taking some serious action against his former employer?

Bryan, God dam you that was my first story for the show!

Alright then The AFL in there wisdom have entered a cluase into there standard player contracts that all employee's, players & club staff are unable to sue the AFL or its state affilates & there affilates (i.e. NSWACT or St.G etc) I notice listed in the Supreme court is St.G??? The question l ask is this the reverse of the above because, if so, it wont stand up. Also you would have to be a dodger taking your club to the Supreme court wouldn't you????

You realise you grammar will have to improve if you become a journalist, and you will also have to exagerate the truth slightly. I think you will have a great career in the media, especially as you have the tendancy to stretch the truth. Have you got anymore little gems in that pouch of yours?
