At SFA Holroyd and Mac Uni appear to have both recruited strongly and I would expect both to be improved outfits. Holroyd and Norwest have both gained a number of players from the disenfranchised St Clair club (not surprisingly none have gone to Penrith hence making a mockery of their stance on the club). Mac Uni have entered into an alliance with the extremely strong Westbrook club in an attempt to provide a senior pathway to the club so it will be interesting to see how that develops.

Manly will always be strong but I believe that they are struggling a bit off the field which will ultimately flow through to the on-field success so they may a bit vulnerable but I would still back them for top four.

Sutherland seem to have recruited a swag of players including a block from St George so they may be the SFA bolters - its been a long time between drinks since their 1985 Flag under coach Zuber and they have been threatening for a while now. WIth a new ground in the pipeline and a parochial area to draw on I could possibly see them stepping up when Sydney Uni inevitably drop back down to SFL although I am sure St George would do all in their power to block this just as North Shore did with Manly.

At SFL, Wollongong seem to have recruited solidly in what is a pretty important year - they have the facilities there that are pretty much the envy of the rest of the league and now seems the time to start to challenge the finals. At last count they have 33 new recruits, many from interstate and country leagues and no losses so I guess it all depends on the quality along with the continued development of their talented youngsters.

We$ts can't seem to take a trick at the moment with more players departing - time to start throwing some of that dirty poker machine money about boys!
Woodie that money has gone on the CHF from Wagga.

the only money being hoisted around is from C/Town. You should no that!!!!!!

To my mind this is a benficial result for Sydney football, if I'm the only one who holds this view then so be it.

You're still suggesting that the demise of the senior arm at St.Clair (bearing in mind that 95% of that club couldn't care less if they had a senior side or not)is somehow Penrith's fault which is an interesting assertion to keep making given that in your words "we couldn't run a chook raffle".

I had no idea we had such an effect on the decision making of the League.
We only got 4 St Clair players, one an ex-Jet and junior.Certainly no "influx" as stated. To be honest, i think we got the better of them, with Nath Peters leading goals in Div 2, and "Drums" and "Anto" looking very good in trials so far. We've gained old and new, with overall squad talent probably down on our Div 2 days.As for Parra, they look good off field, with former player/admin guru Bob Mannion back in charge, they'll do alright with him and a few others on board.

very good PK. You should go online at the WCE website and give Jonny some help.Seeing how you are personally helping Sydney football. Maybe one of the cooks could fly you over.
