    Wollongong v Crows notes

    I was down the gong for this one ..pleased with what I saw

    * Healthy crowd
    * Great Facilities - New Carpark , Lighting and Surface
    * Half time Auskick games , Swans stars ...really good standard of professionalism that Sydney AFL could perhaps take a look at incorporating

    * Crows looked good . all three grades had good wins .
    * 18's where solid
    * Reserves won easily ...look like they have some depth this season
    * Seniors where clinical some good additions and looks as though Crows have there house in order this year.

    * Crows have few injurie concerns already -

    * Adam Santarossa didnt play due to Quad Strain/ Tear couple of weeks ago .im told he is indefinate in regard to return perhaps a couple of weeks
    * Daniel Rixon out with Ankle injury at training , 2 weeks
    * Scott Richmond , torn hamstring in trial , 3-4 weeks

    Wollongong -
    * good mix of young and old
    * outplayed , outmuscled
    * never gave up
    * had a fair crack

    Injuries - None

    Basically in summing up Wollongong where outplayed by a good Crows side who didnt let them get into the game , I am not particulalry a fan of anyside in the sydney afl ( soft spot for Easts though ) but really enjoyed watching the Crows brand of football . Genuine Top 4 pick .

    Have to agree that the Crows looked pretty slick & they took the crowd out of the contest by taming the Lions pretty early in the piece. Saw Wests' Big Kev taking notes of line-ups as they play the crows this week & the Lions in round 4.

      Congrats must go to the Wollongong Club and all involved in the redevelopment of the ground. The surface is the best in the league by miles and the lights are that good even this old bastard can see the footy when its at the other end.

      Also had a good promotion with the young kids at half time and the biggest home & away crowd ive seen in a long time.

        Pity they will finish on the bottom in 07. At least sides playing against them will feel good under the lights.

          Hey l saw big kev setting up a clean shot out West. Think its aimed at KC.
          Wests were shocking against Penno.

              Good on Kev for being so thorough.
              Hats off to him for making what must have been a fair rush to get from Pennant Hills to Wollongong in two hours.
