    Weekend Matches

Looks like all the favourites got up with a good win to Campbelltown.

ECE dominated once again over a Uni side that looks like it has only improved marginally at best. The same players from us were too classy for an underdone Uni team who tried hard but dont have the cattle and look to struggle for any structure like they did last year.

Looks like top four already set with:

    ECE
    St George
    Campbelltown
    Pennant Hills

The rest of the teams will play off for 5th at this stage.

    Any other match reports???

The West v StGeorge result blew me away. I have not managed to see either of them this year. Word out of Wagner was they would be there abouts, i wonder if this is true or are StGeorge a bit better than what most people thought at the start of the year?
    Give it a wash!

I made it to 2 games this weekend.
On Saturday, St George looked very impressive against a disappointing Wests. Gavin Raper was superb yet again and was easily best on ground, Convery played a good game against his old club and Dugmore's a great target up forward. Wests didn't do themselves any favours by doing some silly things - giving away 2 first-quarter goals from 50m penalties meant they were always going to be up against it. And after they scored the first couple of goals in the third term, getting into a silly mellee killed any chances of them building any momentum, and they then put up no resistance in the last quarter. St George were easily the better side, but Wests could have got closer.
On Sunday, North Shore put in a sensational second quarter and their game against Sydney Uni was won at half-time. After the break the Bombers put their foot off the gas and cruised to a 10-goal win. An interesting under-18s result at that game, with the Wildcats getting up over the Bombers.

I agree that these sides seem the sides to beat at this early stage. However don't you think it might be a little too soon to start predicting finalists? There are plenty of variables in our game and after two rounds anything can happen.
Looking dangerous in the forward 50
