I have heard it from reasonably good authority that the Kassem boys are heading to C'Town very soon. Their is a strong rumour doing the rounds that the wheels have fallen off at Wagner and they want out. Just wondering whether anyone else has heard this and whether it is 100%. My source was very sure but I would like to know if anyone has any hard facts regarding this. If it is true (although not guns) they would add some depth out Monarch way.

heard this on weekend at match too, from 3 sources, even tipped to be transfers as early as this week. -
I overheard a whisper to that effect on Saturday, but I have doubts.
Interestingly on the clearance section on the Sydney AFL website, 4 more Kassems have registered as new players with Wests. Is the clan being split, or will the numbers at Monarch receive a major boost?

I will give big Salem (No 2) a call tomorrow to see what is happening but knowing the family as I do they will want to play one game this year with as many brothers in the side as possible - with 3 of the younger ones that haven't played before (Wissam aka no 3 played a bit at Parra a decade ago) I would assume that they are hoping for a reserve grade match. The clan wouldn't split at all - its a case of one in all in. Pressure will be on Ozem (No 1) to come out of retirement & play with the rest of the boys although he assured me a month ago that he was well & truly retired.See me run a marathon again as a leprechaun?

I think Ben McNamaras started the rumor.......
But i wouldnt be surprised - Supercoach must have realised that his local lads were not going to live up to the hype of premiership favourites so they opened up the never ending cheque book.
Pretty poor if they do go there 3-4 rounds into a season.

You must love Jerry Springer, Oprah and Womens Weekly......I better go back out the front and look for the bus all these players are coming on....I won't have room with the 100 I have supposedly already poached. As for my local lads they will do fine without any additions... Although for the record I would not turn quality players and blokes away if they did want to come out to Monarch.
I bet you also believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny...I also heard a rumour they were coming out to play for us as well.....from a good source of course!

What a great rumour this one is, particularly the clearance to Batemans Bay. I love good gossip but it is obvious some pelican was at Olds Park the other week and managed to get a bite out of a few people. They are probably reading this thread with a gob full of fish and laughing loudly.Comment
