the first test for the AFL this year with a little bit of rain around and predicted for the weekend!! has any grounds been closed already??
Sydney Uni Blue v South-West Sydney in Second Division has been switched to Henson, but that may not be because of the weather - there were only 2 games previously scheduled there, so it makes sense to add another one there rather than opening another ground.
So far as I know everywhere else is still open. We've had a bit of rain today but not all that much. If we'd had games scheduled last weekend they would have been called off, but I can't see any reason to close any grounds this weekend - but you never know with some of the councils in Sydney.
My tipping has completely fallen apart in the past few weeks (mainly because I haven't been smart enough to get on St George or off East Coast!!!).
But hey, they may just turn around, so I'm going to stay to format one more week.
Campbelltown by 38 points - the Blues are struggling at the moment and desperately need a win to stay in touch with the five. At home they should be too strong. North Shore by 144 points - Balmain were a rabble against Sydney Uni. They will surely play better than that. North Shore is on fire and will be unstoppable. Don't the like the margin I've tipped Docks? Do something about it on the field. - SYDNEY AFL MATCH OF THE WEEK - Western Suburbs by 10 points - under lights at Henson Park this should be a beauty. Do Wests have the players to counter key Student goalkickers Archer, Terry and Wakelin? I think they just might. East Coast by 8 points - the Crows couldn't possibly be going any better, but I just can't bring myself to jump off the Eagles just yet. Rumour has it that at least a handful (possibly more) senior players will return for this match. Will they hit the ground running or will they by underdone? Pennant Hills by 14 points - shaping as another cracker. The Demons let me down at home to the Crows and won't want to drop two home games in a row. The dimensions of the ground should play in their favour, although it will be a lot harder to avoid Luffy.

The legal process is slow, and with so many other matters scheduled for the court it may not be concluded today.
A reminder to everyone that commenting on here on matters that are sub judice is inappropriate. Listing the hearing times, as Scribler has done, is OK and a useful source of information - but I cannot tolerate any discussion of the legal issues on here until the matter is determined, and not even then if there's any chance of it going to appeal.
I have deleted some posts on an earlier thread from a couple of months ago which gave the impression the matter was resolved. Now I have become aware that the legal action is ongoing, those posts have been taken down so as to not prejudice the case.
