All 5 first grade games to be played at one ground

Well Boy, you got one of us right.

I would assume the Showground and at least one other ground in Sydney would be ok to play - Monarch, Drummoyne, Kelso.

Why not put on a gala day if only 1sts to play and play 5 straight.

      10am
      1215
      1430
      1645
      7pm

We would finally get decent crowd and what a great spectacle for all players and officials to get together and chew the fat.

Im sure all officials would appreciate a relaxed schedule so they could watch a game of footy as well.

If the league is looking for a new person with common sense and forward thinking I am more than happy to oblige.

This maybe to radical to the organisation though....

I think the outcome would see 2-3 played at the showgounds, which would be a good lead into the swans game with the remaining games to be played at Monarch. From what I know the showgrounds hosted junior footy on the weekend even after the rain and monarch was sweet according to the rooster so I would presume this would be the logical answer. Then again we are in sydney!
        Give it a wash!

not sure about drummoyne normally shut when clouds come over... but showgrounds and out here at sunny monarch would be good idea....
with a possible second wash out on the cards means the 4 as it is will not change for entire season with top 4 teams scheduled to play each other last week and this week... therefore without results to them and us who should have played wool and sydney uni possibly 2 wins missed.. maybe all teams 2 points for missed games???? what other options are there???

            Rooster,
Not sure of your mathematic background but if you give every team 2 points, 0 points or 10 points for a wash out it will not change a sides position on the ladder!
            Give it a wash!

Aside from the fact that there are 3 teams equal third....I can see your point, Rooster. You would have a point feeling hard done by, missing those 2 games. Perhaps they can be made up with mid week games. Has been done in past years.

Premier Division won't be washed out this week

                    Boy,

Its simple 2 at the show grounds & 3 at the ar*e end of Sydney, 1 saturday & 2 Sunday or the other way around. That's of course if you & KC allow it:-)

                      Leave Sydney AFL alone

Bwryan stop bagging the SAFL. They run a very tight ship (say that 10 times very fast) Its so tight that no-one knows whats going on or through the heads of this wonderful group.

Sadly it's not looking good - and if what's forecast for tomorrow eventuates we'll most likely see the closed signs up again. Unbelievable that such a thing happens, and the rest of the football community in Australia laughs at us for it, but that's Sydney councils for you and there's nothing any of us can do about it.
Unfortunately we don't have any more spare weekends, so unless they can find 5 grounds we'll lose reserves & under-18s games as well as all 1st & 2nd divisions.

Hopefully we'll at least be able to keep the Showgrounds open. If that happens, we should be able to get a senior double-header there on Saturday and play the rest of the round at Monarch. Henson may even be available on Sunday, but the rugby league's using it on Saturday and it'll probably be a lake by the time they've finished with it.

There has been plenty of rumours and stories coming through the caves since my last post, none bigger than the Sydney AFL annoucing that round 10 is going to be cancelled. The other one is my brothers friends mothers cousins doctor has also been informed that there is a new method for the suicide bombers. they have been following the rooster and it seems everywhere he goes he stinks out the place forcing people to leave, as well as telling people how good he is which results in people either getting violently ill from his smell or big noting!! It is all happening down in the cave!!!!
