Roscoe can i ask you mate who is organising this as this is the first i have heard of it, and i am an X-Bankstown Senior now playing with South-West there are still only about 3 or 4 of us left still trying to run around and may take me a bit to try to get a hold of all the blokes that i know have played there, glad to see that we actually have a bye that day so it should not be to much of a problem getting the South-West boys there (Talk to Tara on here he is our coach and also an X-Bankstown Senior)

Maybe if you hung around at the training session I conducted at Bankstown a few weeks ago with the juniors you would have known. In all honesty though I thought I told you mate.

It is being organised by the committe of the junior club to bring back as many

former players and supporters as possible. It is an informal gathering, a few

drinks and snacks after the Under 16's. Unfortunatley we (the juniors) do not

have all names and addresses of players prior to the "modern era" cica 1996

Thus by posting on this website we are hoping to attract pre 1996 Bankstown

people. There will be an ad in the local paper and maybe get something in the

Daily Telegraph. Many people have made a contribution to the club, both

during the good and hard times (can't say bad !)

This gathering may assist in a "possible" 40th anniversary "formal"

        function in 2008/2009

Yes Tara thanks for your coaching contribution last month, we are using

some of your drills and we will see you again before the end of the year

Many thanks to all the loyal past and present players and supporters who

saw the under 16's record a narrow hard fought victory against a gallant

Miranda. For the 80 + supporters who recalled days of former glories ,

as the marks got higher and the goals kicked longer as the night/day ?

            progressed - a wonderful day.

Wonderful to see some legends such as Eurell, Addison,Wilsen, Podbury

and others dating back to 1969. Also in attendance was the 2006 rising star

Dave Linsen and many of the current crop.
