Thanks NL i'm glad i'm not the only one thinking along these lines. It will be interesting to see what happens once the hearing takes place and to see what line StG take after yet another obvious miss-managed event.Looking dangerous in the forward 50Comment

Would anyone care to comment on the law that allows suspended players to count representative games as part of their suspension? If this remains the case doesn't it open us up for future issues such as this? In my opinion it should be home and away games only as that's what the majority of us play for. I think it's ridiculous to think that rep games count as part of a suspension.
For the record though, could not have happened to a nicer bunch of @@@@@s and they really need to look at the top as fish sticks from the head down!Comment

Can you please tell me what the hell Lebanon has to do with anything in this forum? Don't get me wrong I've got nothing at all against Lebanon or the people from there, in fact a couple of my closest mates are Lebanese, but please at least talk about something that is relevant to this forum and Sydney footyComment

Norris,
Those fools at HQ, we beat them at there own game, he has already played & only served 2 weeks HAHA.
I agree with that. He was suspended for an incident in a club game, so that's where his suspension should be served. As well, because the suspension was handed out before the final team was picked, it was probably a bit presumptuous to pre-empt the selectors (although had he been available and I'd been a rep selector I would have picked him).
The other thing they could have tried in the hearing was the defence that his suspension was for the next 3 rounds as were scheduled at the time of the hearing, ie rounds 8-10, and therefore he was clear to play in round 11 - that when round 9 was postponed his suspension was postponed with it. But if they're going to try that one at the appeal they can't play him this week.Comment

Chris, are you a complete @@@@ing idiot?It won't cost us a top 2 spot.
:-)
I wonder how the blokes out there on the track each week feel about all this? Let me tell you if this happened at my club and I found out that the head officials allowed a suspended team mate to play and we lost the points i'd be fairly cheesed off about it. It's easy for you to say you have set a precedent beating NSWAFL and all this, but what if and only what if it costs you a top two spot? How would the boys feel about that? It wouldn't make a difference to us if they took 12 points away, who's saying that? You? You don't even play you idiot!Comment

Key Forward, i can assure you that there is no anger by the players towards our officials or vice versa. The club believe's it had not made an error, thats why we have appealed.
The club is following the correct process and we are confident of the right result. But if anything, this has brought everyone even closer together.Comment
