    Arrivals and Departures

Obviously there are a lot of players coming and going inside and outside the league.
I thought it would be a good idea to keep the discussion together in one thread.
And I'll start it with a big one.

Wollongong ruckman and captain? Luke Norton-Smith has headed back to the Ovens and Murray league and will play with Lavington in season 2008.
A massive loss for the Lions as one of the best big men in the competition - certainly a Sydney AFL representative in the past two years.

How will Wollongong cope with this?

Sydney University's Rising Star nomination Andrew Wild is also gone.
He headed back to his home club Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes outside Wagga after his bout of glandular fever late in the season and will also join the Ovens and Murray in 2008 after signing with North Albury.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

No one cares about the departure of Norton-Smith?

            Merry Xmas

Wishing all players, committee etc a safe xmas and a happy new year, may santa deliver all the clubs, the personnell they require to have a successful 2008.

This may require bigger stockings for some clubs ie Balmain but you won't get if you don't ask.

Marto, you just need new stockings, steamboat says your fishnets have holes in them.

For all you other gibberers out there, may your 2008 threads be more insightful and informative than the dribble you have served up in 2007.

Little Bird ready to leave nest

Despite the continual denials of a person with pace to burn, a bird is ready to head back to a nest closer to a dock. Unfortunately the bird has not had the products delivered that he was promised and the nest is empty when he comes out to practice his calls. He has asked a big policeman to get more birds or he will fly away.

You need to start thinking a lot more, both football wise and politically.

Now,now Rooster.Don't start another blue. He's certainly able to defend himself without your help. Very sensitive at the moment aren't you? Go and have another Darwin stubby and leave it to me to SPOIL the day. If he makes political statements it's fair game for someone to respond. Just keep collecting jumpers.
