Thats the mail i got anyway.i thought the boys were great together.
No worries mate, I was told that we had approached you blokes again with the offer, but were told you'd be heading in a different direction. I'm sure the truth is out there somewhere!

Good to see you're getting some strong numbers as well, hopefully we can both move away from the basement.

Ive seen that quiet a few players have left C'town and are heading over to Camden, although i think they have been mostly young blokes from last years 18's, there is a whisper that one of C'towns better players could also be on his way out to Camden.

I have also heard that Matt Withers has not comfirmed that he will play at C'town this season and has been linked to Wests.

Can you shed any light on these topics pace?

There are 3 young guys from last years 18s that have gone over and one reserve grader that i know about. Matty hasnt signed yet but yes he is talking to wests as he is mates with Salem. I dont think that there will be anyone else going there but i've learnt over the last couple of months you never know. Not much loyalty from guys these days.

Parks, it might surprise you to know that maybe not everything posted on here is about you [aside from your posts, that is].

No MUPPETT im not talking about you(and we dont need to go through it all again) I was talking about guys that have only played for one club(not 3 or 4) and leave clubs for a couple of extra dollars or because they have to drive an extra 20 mins or someone p#####s in there pocket about how good they are or how they should be getting more attention than they are and they soon forget whats been given to them in the past or how they have been looked after by their club over the years when no-one else would have given them the time of day let alone any $. It seems these days for alot of guys that all footy clubs are about is what they can get out of them. Dont get me wrong there are still many guys that stick to one club, but each year the chopping and changing and the amount of time that gets put into retaining players that have been looked after and should be happy to stay with their current club is unbelievable. The days of guys wanting to play with their mates and having some pride and loyalty to their clubs seem to be diminishing. Maybe im wrong what does everyone else think.

Not really the case in 1st Division or 2nd for that matter, we only lost our "travelling circus"(as they've been dubbed) coz our club was close to folding at the end of 04,with Cain going to Sydney Uni(where he is studying) Clayden going to Penno and Dunlea, Barnes, Quirk, Thomson, Cameron and Laing going to Balmain for a run at a higher level(and the fact that 2 of them were living/are now living in the Drummoyne area)we didn't begrudge them for leaving, perhaps if they left to another 1st Div club and we didn't drop to Div 2 at the same time,it would've been viewed differently, but i doubt it.Money was never a factor for them in leaving. With 3 of them now at Mac Uni it still makes no difference,i'll be first to offer them a beer(or playing for a uni team, perhaps a guava cruiser is more their drink of choice!!)
I guess my point is,its rarely seen that players will move between 1st Div clubs these days,as its more about playing with your mates and club loyalty (it certainly is with me and 99.99% of the boys at Nor-West)

                  Agreed.

We lost a number of our best players to Penno last year, but you've got to expect that guys want to try themselves at a higher level. They'd all be welcome back in the future.

I don't know that anyone gets paid to play in Division One, I guess it might happen, certainly not at Penrith anyway.

Mate i envy you. Even clubs like Penno and Nth Shore who seem to have an endless stream of juniors and you play against them year in year out in there reserves and you see the same guys. I miss those days where we had the same guys turning up each year no matter who was coaching or what they were going to get $ wise cause they had pride in the club and there mates. You here so many stories about clubs not paying guys till they re-sign or they only pay 5 or 6 blokes, we have always paid everyone who plays 1st grade weather there 16 or 26 match payments but it seems to bite you on the arse cause they want more and more each year, or if they get noticed by other clubs that can throw a bit of cash at them cause there not paying everyone. Anyway thats my winge for the day, im sure there will be alot of sympathy out there LOL

Totally agree pace to burn..... im not sure if its different for me seein i been a the club since i was in diapers... but blokes these days dont seem to care bout the mateships they make at a club..... willing to play against his mates for the sake of a few mere dollars.

some blokes have been spoon fed for to long and in the end taken it for granted.... always wantin more....

the reason i asked pace to burn was because i had heard that person who has left has left to play under 18s.
