Rooster, it may amaze you to know that not every topic on here is about you, even though you try to turn each one to have your name mentioned.

Just keep to the topic mate.

Mate when you've been around for 15 years and know the people at clubs that know whats going on and deal with these issues it doesnt take long to find out by speaking to them why players left(especially top end players). Look there is always going to be players that leave clubs for a number of diff reasons whether they dont get on with a coach or they move or whatever. The point that i was trying to make is that it seems to happen alot more these days compared to the past. I have played with guys that drove from Monavale to play with us because they had loyalty to the club and there mates, and other guys that were offered huge money by other clubs and didnt go. I wasnt tarring everyone with the same brush i was just giving my opinion that it seems to happen alot more these days as Shearer agreed.

Hes left to play 18s at East Coast but played every game in Seniors for us last year and would have probably did the same this year if hed continued to work hard. Doesnt make much sense to me IMHO.

There are plenty of loyal guys at each club.

Ive been lucky enough to play with and coach guys like Tony Quinn, Matt Gibson, Mick Ryan, Declan, Duggy, Gav Raper who were/are always offered good coin to go elsewhere but decide to stay with there mates and try and achieve something at st george. Im sure there are plenty in the same boat at each club.

I think its the young guys who are in junior rep squads and think they are a lot better than they are who now shop themselves around. Weve had two guys leave the club the year after they were put up for a week in Adelaide and trained with the Crows to help with there development in getting drafted.

We have also invited scouts down to see them play and put there name out there only to get an email a few months later asking "What is the club doing for me". When you and people from the club try and contact them they go missing and then you get a clearance form without the decency of telling you where they are going.

Some clubs have to be aggressive in there recruiting due to there lack of juniors i respect that. But personally i think its disgraceful that senior coaches ring under 18's kids with bull@@@@ talk of playing seniors and big money to entice them over.

People come and go thats fine but things have certainly changed in the 20 years ive been playing in the league.

Couldnt have put it better myself(and obviously didnt) I think youll find that anyone who doesnt agree might have been involved in this sort of thing.

                        yeah all fair points.
i've just changed clubs from prem to 1st div more or less to play with a bunch of mates who put in alot of effort and didnt get much back.
money hasnt influenced any of us(because we have never been payed to play) and we are happy to have a run around and hopefully win a few games which i dont think we would have done if we stayed where we played for the past three years.
