Sorry GoEagles, but you're proving just why a lot of people in the Sydney AFL don't like your club.
I'm not one of them for obvious reasons, but there is no need to slag off other clubs from the bleachers. Unless they attack first, which on this occasion they didn't.

One of the drawbacks of a Message Board like this is that anyone can anonymously pick any User name they like - thus insinuating that they are therefore associated with a particular Club.

In the case of the recent comments within this thread, I have no idea of who "Go Eagles" might be and indeed whether he / she is, or ever was, aligned in any way with East Coast.

If this person is, then the purpose of this response is to suggest that true Eagles' supporters would disassociate themselves totally from these comments about the Campbelltown Football Club.

If they aren't from East Coast, then the normal Code of Conduct rules for this site should apply.

              Peter,

Never a more true statement has been made.

Go Eagles - As a fellow ECE supporter and past player at the club, I've been surprised at some of the comments of recent that have been directed towards Campbelltown. As Oscar has already indicated the club culture at ECE has never been to take "pot shots" at other clubs.

Mind you it's good to have someone on our side of the fence occasionally.

As for the comments about ECE's bunch of "sticks" - I drive past it fairly often and it's the best bunch of sticks in Western Sydney. Seriously guys, why is it that some "dumb" posts on this forum, incite "dumb" retaliations...??

At least there seem to be a number of guys on here actually interested in posting comments that are worthy of discussion.

Footy clubs cannot control the opinions and behaviour of alleged supporters - consider the challenges faced by Eddie Maguire!
However leaders speak out and set an example - all credit to Oscar.

Gee, that's a great achievement.... You have certainly retaliated in exactly the same way you have suggested. Don't undo the fantastic goodwill of Oscar and son.You should have left it there.Don't you agree Humphrey?

Cant wait til the season starts, perhaps then some of the tripe on this forum will stop being posted.
As a nearby resident of the soon to be completed Purser, and a former Falcon, but first and foremost a footy nerd through and through,i cant wait for the ground to open,it will be a showpiece for our game, and i'm sure will be the envy of every club in Sydney.
On a side note, Oscar, you nailed it on the head.Very rare to see a post on here contain common sense.

Oscar I read your Annual Report with interest(and then disappointment) becuase whilst your club has been derided by others it is very well run and I for one am always looking for ideas to improve our stuggling club and what better way than to look at those doing things well. Like Pekay I live locally and look forward to your new ground being completed and to attending a few local games.
I find the above comment by Burbo to be somewhat off the mark however.

ill have to agree with that tara......in terms of managment East Coast probably is out in front..... and good on them!!
saying this i have to say to though.....they have wat appears to be the largest supporter base within the league and with that brings further oppurtunities in sponsorship and making money on social functions etc....
it is a great position to be in...

Before this gets out of hand, Trent was in Canberra with East Coast last weekend where we played Belconnen.

That same evening he was assaulted in a city street. Police action is pending against this person, who is known to the local ACT police. Nothing more should be discussed on here whilst there remains the possiblity of charges being laid.

I visited Trent in Woden Hospital about two hours ago and the family are awaiting the results of a second CT scan on his fractured skull to determine if the bleeding to the brain has diminished. He is a sick and sorry boy at the moment but assuming the news is all good from the scan, he may be released from hospital on the weekend and can safely return to Sydney.

The Eagles are doing whatever we can to assist Trent and his family in these stressful times.
