What ever happened to ex-Swan Sanford (Mattew) Wheeler?

Does he still play footy in Sydney? Or live or work there?

He had a handful of games with East Coast a few years back, i think they were Baulko at the time though, i could be mistaken. Came from my junior club, followed his progress for years.

1999 Pekay ... that was our last year as Baulkham Hills. It was a season in which the League programmed 21 matches would you believe. Each of the 8 clubs played each other three times!!

Sanford played 12 games for us and came 4th in the B&F. A really nice guy to have around.

Digital Sports would still have the videotape of what was easily the mark of the year from Sanford at Roger Sheeran Oval.

It was Craig McGrath's (ex Fitzroy and West Coast) last year as coach that year. He was transferred to Melbourne in his employment and was very disappointed not to be able to coach East Coast in their inaugural year.
