Norris, you may actually want to check your facts. The numbers were not in order. The umpires latter apologized for getting it wrong. Wests had 18 on the field when they should have had 17. The league did nothing (as usual) and the result still stood. What he did was wrong and should not be condoned at any level.

What I meant to say was that the umpires ruled everything was in order - and once that call was made, it was always going to stand. The league will never over-rule the umpires.

from what i heard the umpire failed to see the starting offence which was dealt with maybe a little excessivly but umpires recently have been both terrible and lacking of the power they once had over such situationsComment

I saw the initial "offence". It appeared to me to be an inadvertant by-product of a 6 ft 6 inch player attempting to break free from an illegal tackle around his waist, when the ball was 30 odd meters away.Comment

i remember back at start of the season i actually gave some credit to the sydney umpires but that all changed in the campbelltown game when Anton decided to use some colorful language towards myself and other players. Also free kicks what are they.... nothing is free
also monty2 if you were watching the initial involvement of players then you didnt have the footy either....Comment

Hey Red Rooter, it's difficult for Monty to have the footy from the hill behind the goals with a stubby in his hand.
Although with you, I am sure anything is possible.Comment
