Step Back In Time With Pekay

    Hello all,
Having recently moved house, i found my old "footy nerd" box, all the footy records i've kept from the past years, some seasons complete, some not, going back to 95, when my brothers were at Holroyd Parramatta and Baulko 19s. Interesting reading, so i thought i'd share some of the info, like our new footy records do these days. The greatest statistician in the land, Kevin "Kaytee" Taylor was the man who did most of the work, with apologies to whoever else was involved, your names don't seem to appear on here.
Might prove a good reflection on some of these quiet weeks at RWO.
Funny how some of these issues really haven't changed, and how many players from the supplied lists are still plying their trades in their respective grades.
The first issue i'll take some info from is 1995- Edition 7, which was the week that St George great Bob McConnell passed away.

      Some Trivia From Kaytee

1650th GAME FOR EAST SYDNEY BRINGS LOWEST SCORE IN 80 YEARS

Some Sydney Footy followers couldn't quite believe their eyes or ears when the full match score by Easts against Campbelltown was posted at Monarch last sunday.
The Doggies all-game, 4 qtr extraordinary effort only yielded 1.6-12. It was the club's 1650TH Sydney League game with only ten other lower scores by the club recorded since 1903. The previous lowest score was 1.3-9 in Round 3 of 1916, against Paddington's 11.13-79, and two weeks before that in the opening round against South Sydney, Souths winning 12.23-95 to Easts 1.4-10.

You have too much time on your hands PK given that you would have had to type all of these up ... are you looking for some work?? Got plenty of tax returns in here for you.

I actually sat the whole game on the bench at Olds that week ... it was for the 2nd week in a row as well & those were the days of only 2 on the bench ... Rotten Ronnie was dirty with me over something & wanted to test my mental strength or something to that effect ... go figure!

That's quite a time capsule Pekay, thanks for that.

Even though it was years before I got involved, it's amazing how many names I recognise from that list.
Was that the year Holroyd-Blacktown were relegated after the opening round of the season?

DLH, i put the game with Hahny as Penriff's best to pump his tyres up a bit, he is playing some good footy actually these days!
Sasha/ Pace, the next one will be up by weeks end. I had that day off and there was a fair amount of time before the online poker tourny i was in was due to start, so i got all footy nerd on myself!!
STANDBY- i got a decent pile of records to come, hoping to find one where Hawkesbury actually win a game( Or get close!)
