    Who are the Favourites now

After last weekends results, with the Crows knocking off the Eagles away and Norths pumping Easts where the finals are played, who are the favourites for the flag?(or is it too hard to call).IMHO after the weekend i think Penno are def the best side across the park i have seen all year and dont rely on any individuals. Any Thoughts

Agree Penno a definately in the box position. All three grades are performing well - they set up well and stick to their plan and stay disciplined. Competition for a spot in each team is a great thing - something we'd all like to have.

This might be the year of the Eagles.

As the cards have fallen this year, if we'd had a final 4 again this year the finallists would already be decided. But the competition for 5th is still very much on.
As for the top 4, with 3 teams level on points and another team one game behind with a better percentage than all of them, it's a very open battle for the minor premiership and the qualifying final berths.
In most recent years, we've seen a runaway hot favourite team that often goes on to lose the grand final. But there's no clear favourite at this stage - it's the most even competition I can remember, and that's got to be a good thing for the competition.

The top 5 is the best thing that has been implemented in the 16 years i have been involved in Sydney footy. IMHO though i reckon that only PENNO, EASTS, and EAST COAST can win it(PENNO being the best chance)
