    First Grade Grand Final

Personally, i find this a particularly enticing clash.

A 2006 rematch. this time it looks a little more even. The eagles were clear favourites in 2006. Although the Demons won both contests in the regular season, i would expect a very tight contest this saturday

as a long time follower of Sydney footy, i will continue with my hope that the boys from baulko never win anything. (go eagles- you re-enforce this every time you post)

a large and vocal crowd should be there.

i hope the contest is as exciting as the 2006 version and similar to 2006 I hope the demons post another flag.

hope as many as possible get out to Henson for what will be a great day.

That 2006 grand final was one of the most dramatic games of football I've ever seen. It was a stunning upset, but the Demons played the wind better by taking pot-shots during that last quarter. If this year's grand final is anywhere near as exciting as that one, it'll be a beauty - and hopefully played in better conditions!
Last year had the biggest crowd I've seen in Sydney AFL. And a good atmosphere - the St George singing on the hill during their third quarter fightback, then the North Shore fans in the grandstand finding voice during the last quarter. Hopefully we can get some more good numbers through the gates this year.

I love grand final day - and this year promises to be a beauty. I'll tip Penno, mainly because they will be fresh after the week off compared to the Eagles who have had a couple of weeks on heavy tracks and only a 6-day turnaround from the prelim final. On the other hand, the prelim final winner has gone on to win the flag in 5 of the last 6 years; so recent history gives the Eagles a great chance.

I cant believe im writing this but ill be cheering for Penno . Should be a good game though, as long as the weather is the same on Sat as the one we just had. IMHO i think the midfields cancel themselves out so it will come down to which forward line makes the most of their opportunities on the day. Good Luck to all, its a great time of year if your still involved.

Forecast for Saturday is fine, windy & a maximum of 31. I can't remember a grand final day with the temperature so high before.

Mate has nothing to do with Garns. I wished him all the best on Monday night. I just dont hate Penno as much as East Coast. Thats what happens when your not in it yourself you have to take the lesser of two evils . Youv'e played there and obviously enjoyed your time there so fair enough if you want them to win thats your perogative. The fact that my opinion is i would rather see Penno win shouldnt dissapoint you especially as your not involved with them

doesnt matter anyway east coast couldnt get a senior premiership if you gave it to them.

Didnt get out to the game but have read the report. Anyone go out there? Was Penno just too good or did E/Coast play terrible?
