Bert, please enlighten me as too who we have taken from Southwest over the years besides Steamboat (as a coach, who approached us, and furls who came over with him for one year). And yes we all know two army blokes played one game last year but again they came asking for a game and were not approached by us.

I'd really like to hear who Camden (or Scumbletown) have been chasing from SWS. But if you treat your players like you treated the great Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, then I'm sure they'll be running to either the Blues or the Cats!
And thanks for the news Radar, a little slow as always. You'd think someone with glasses that thick would be smart, wouldn't you?!?Time to play the Game!!!Comment

I hate to be the voice of reason, but isn't this bitchiness unneccassary and really childish. The Sydney AFL (all grades) is in too flimsy a state to be working against each other at this level.Comment

Insider you are always going to get bitcheness between teams that are pretty close to each other especialy when players are going from 1 to another and then the other and then back to the start again
T-Rock are you daft or something there have been quite a few players over the past 6-7 years that have ended up at Camden/Campbelltown for one reason or another (not always the best)Carn' The CrowsComment

We are aware that a number of SWS players went to both C'town and Camden over the years, but that was back in the day when the club was doing ok in division 1.Last edited by In the Know; 27 October 2008, 07:26 AM.Comment

Agreed. Saw that on the bus on our way to Mudgee, was a talking point for the footy boys, both great servants of Pemriff during their tenure, will follow their progress throughout next year. The Rams have some good juniors and colts coming through, but those two are, as Jonty said, massive losses.Comment

Both great fellas and have been excellent servants over the years, especially Jay who played in our U/18's flags in '01 and '02. I'd certainly wish them both all the best.
As Penrith and Nor-West have both found over the years, you can't stop guys who want to have a crack at the highest level they can.
There's no doubt they were our best two players, so they leave a massive hole, especially as we don't have a lot of top end talent to begin with.
I would think the club would now have to seriously consider going down the Division 3 and 4 route like the Jets have done.Comment

Anyway, that's old news....on to Peter Free's favourite topic, HIMSELF!!. Word is Chook is moving to Gosford to coach the only tigers team that are a chance of playing finals footy!! Well, that and the lifestyle difference between Minto and the Central Coast....Time to play the Game!!!Comment

That's understandable "Pace", we know you're not too quick. Here is my short list of recent times: Roycie, Chook, Marto, Muchie, Westy, Muppet...didn't all play for the Blues but some did end up there but all were at Camden.

Word would be correct on chook going to Gosford to live. Spoke to him on Sat and he is going for the seachange. Told me he didnt think he would coach next year but i think he will, i know their pretty keen on him and i cant see him not doing anything at all. Did a great job the last two years with our 18s and the club wishes him all the best in whatever he does in the future up there. The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...Comment
