Word would be correct on chook going to Gosford to live. Spoke to him on Sat and he is going for the seachange. Told me he didnt think he would coach next year but i think he will, i know their pretty keen on him and i cant see him not doing anything at all. Did a great job the last two years with our 18s and the club wishes him all the best in whatever he does in the future up there.

    Who's coaching C-Town U18's now Pace?

I'm pretty sure Chook was an old Bankstown boy and they were merged to form SWS with another club that escapes me at present.

Therefore I would call him ex-SWS. He did have stints at Wests and I think Sydney Uni before C/T.
        Oh crikey!

First of all - Colsey doesn't know jack
Secondly - Peter Free is the Paris Hilton of Sydney AFL - and we all know how much she gets around!!!

Thirdly - have it on good word that after the Greg Bird incident between Chook and Leezy, Chris went back to the club and said him or me. Seeing as C/town had already paid Leezy $10k large up front for next year it was C U LATER ME ME!!
Hence Chook lining up with Gosford (who are crap)

Fourthly - Chivas is nothing - Even the old grey mare kicked a goal on him!!!

My point was he was at Campbelltown before he went to SWS and Camden, as it was suggested earlier in the thread that we have raped SWS over the years which was laughable and funnily enough that person hasnt replied to my question to back up their statement . He came to us from wests when we were playing in canberra.

The job is still open, we have spoken to one prospective candidate and hope to have it sorted soon.

Chook was a Banktown kids origninally then went to Wests, back to Bankstown then NSW for a year in 97 after serving a suspension in 96 then wests then Campbelltown then SWS then Camden and now back to Campbelltown. Might have it slightly out of order.

Bankstown and Liverpool merged in 96 to form SWS the had previously merged to for Southern Districts in the 70's.

Its a better fit for us overall, and we won't lose any players to other teams, as no-one has a great desire to play at a higher level, and if they did, we have that option at East Coast.
From what I can gather the thought process was that with the restructure evening out the competition, and with a couple of sides coming in at the bottom end, that we might be a little more competitive.

The other thing to remember is that if you voluntarily drop down a division, you need to win a flag before you can go back up again which is a pretty tough thing to do.

It's not a decision to be taken lightly, especially when you're trying to encourage kids to hang around and play locally. They want to play at the highest level that they can.

That being said, it's no point getting belted for another year and being relegated anyway, might as well play where you'll be most competitive and try to build from there.

You dont necessarily need to win a flag or finish last to be promoted or relegated the league is applying some common sence measures with this restructuring.

Was just browsing through the league's various websites, Camden's new look is pretty pleasing to the eye.
Noticed their coaching appointments for 2009, Chris Hughes to Seniors, great move.. Reserves, Darren Curry. T-Rock, Marto, your man in charge Warren would've been wise to follow up on his reference check to our president about him, trust me. Our pres didnt want to reply with just an email, too much to write.
Camden now join the list including Pemriff, Cronulla Nor-West and Parra that have gien him employment in various spots.
                              GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE!!!!!!!!
Having said that, he is a nice bloke to be honest, heart in the right place.
