Interesting reading the attendees at the St George AGM ... either the membership base is quite low to start with ... or a quorum wasn't technically met. Always sad seeing the lack of numbers at AGMs these days. Time to pull the finger out Gen Y!

        Rafters,

Word from the insider. The St George constitution states that a quorum consists of 10 members. As you can see from the minutes of the AGM, there were more than that in attendance.

Also regarding your jab at Gen Y, the playing group was definitely represented at the meeting , with 5 of the attendees under the age of 25. Not many other clubs would have that type of representation.

One suggestion, check your facts before having a go at other clubs. People in glass houses...

Good to hear,i am a fan of the history aspect of Sydney footy, and think this is a step in the right direction, as with Campbelltown going back to their navy blues strip a few years back. Would love to see East Coast go back to Baulko name and colours from a nostalgia point of view, as i played my first open age game with them many moons ago. Fancy seeing Norf Shaw go back to being the Bridge Chasers as well!!Just for kicks n giggles.
But Insider, hardly think Rafters was having a shot at St George, his post was more an observation than an inference.

I stand corrected then - good move to have a low number. I have had to cancel 2 club AGMs because of lack of quorum numbers so I know what its all about.

The Sharks have an EGM this Sunday and you can bet out demographic for attendees will be very similar to St Georges.... More to follow I'm sure....
