correct, mendola was at wests last year. good point Freedman, perhaps the issue is at campbelltown and players simply want to play at a club that they know has a stable future. you are right though pace, I think the eagles will need to balance the new arrivals and the talented youngsters coming up from the juniors.

Thats a pretty big statement Junior. If you had any knowledge at all you would know that in terms of sponsors and money generated we would be only a close second to eastcoast and thats mainly due to them having a full time general manager that is mostly funded through west coast. As i said earlier unlike alot of other clubs you never hear of anyone who isnt paid presentation night what they are owed by us and are forced to re-sign to get there money. our junior base is quite good our 18s made the finals last year and we have a number of kids in the rep sides. So dont worry about our stability champ where on track for a good year

I never called into question campbelltowns commitment to it's players. I am simply saying that the last 18 months haven't been the club's smoothest.

On field results wise, but what does that have to do with how stable we are as a club?

Its easy to pay players when you dont have any to pay.

And when you dont have players you wont have a club - so maybe the coach should be calling his players???

New Market for the year which Campbelltown will fold is as follows:

            2009 - $3.30
            2010 - $2.50
            2011 - $1.75
            2012 - $4.50

            Taking all bets....

Pace - Junior knows that ?they? have spoken with 2 others from your 18?s (at the rep carnival) & will be taking 2 of the best 18?s from the riff.
Comments like ?and players simply want to play at a club that they know has a stable future.? rings very true when you take all the talent from local teams.

Maybe ECE should compensate these teams? What do you think pace?

As for you go eagles no wonder every body loves to dislike EC.

Recruiting 16/17 yearolds is a bit ordinary IMHO. But like i said earlier nothing surprises me these days

Doormat, it's common knowledge on here for plenty of EC bashing for various reasons. With the anonymity that resides on this forum, "GoEagles" could be a disgruntled former player, a loyal clubman or someone from another club. One would never know, hence why certain comments should be taken "tongue in cheek" IMO

It's definitely one word starting with C though!

One of the "riff" had already committed to Sydney Uni but has changed mind.

Uni team now looking a bit thin I hear. Some north of the harbour lads have bailed as well.

Of course Penrith and Campbelltown are easy pickings for ECE. After all, both had more juniors than teh Eagles had and will ever had. And I can sense the strain with Baulko as I type !
