I know this topic has been started before, however, I thought now that we're closer to the beginning of the year I'd pose the question again. Anyone in the know?

Pretty sure SydneyAFL has no morals or mateship anymore. What ever happened to playing with your mates threw THICK AND THIN. Ive been looking threw clubs and player turnovers and Im telling you its the highest in the whole of AUST...Even with old mate Cresswell sneaking into NSW to grab more cash.........and run...Comment

As for Creswell, if he's come to Sydney for a fresh start, good on him. More players who have played at the highest level passing on some of what they've learned to the up and coming youngsters will be good for the standard of our game.

Sydney AFL's always had a high player turnover - I don't know if it's the highest in Australia but it would be up there. But when players switch clubs it's not always due to a lack of morals or mateship.

Looks like most are either keeping their mouth a little tight lipped or clubs are keeping their cards close to their chest??
At this early stage does anyone have any predictions as to who might be strong and why?? When I say early stage I think we are only 7 weeks away..Looking dangerous in the forward 50Comment

Even though they have lost a few I would think that Penno will still be pretty strong. They always seem to find kids who can get the job done. East are rumoured to have recruited well but may balance out with what they have lost. It will be interesting to see the Toggs effect on Wests and whether they spend a bit more this year. St George appear to have lost a few and may be one side that drops a few pegs on the ladder. East Coast are a bit of an aging list but will most likely top up with a few handy recruits. I would think they would play finals again. Norths as always are unknown. No one ever knows what they are up to. I can't see Sydney Uni being premiership contenders but they may sneak into the last spot in the 5 possibly. Campbelltown should field a side if East Coast stop taking their players. Balmain as always will trumpet a swag of new recruits and deliver nothing and as for Wollongong who really cares. My 5 would look something like:
Penno Easts East Coast Norths Sydney UniThe only All Australian captain charged with glassingComment

Clubs are notoriously playing their cards very close to their chest when it comes to signings. It's disappointing, but I can understand why.
I tend to agree with The Duck; I don't think there'll be a lot of changes in the top 5 this year compared to last year. But there's still 2 months till the season starts, that's plenty of time for more player movements and strong pre-seasons that could change those predictions.

What happened at Camden?
Noticed on Camden's website that they have put up a notice for all positions again, have they lost their coaches, or is it a mistake?? Furthermore, on the original coaching appointments, Darren Currie's name has been removed, earlier than i thought it would. T-Rock, shed any light? If he has left the club, don't feel bad, the timing is right, and he is a salesman, you aren't the only club he has hoodwinked.
Clearance board is slowly filling up, more on the Premier Division side though.Comment

UniNSW & Wests
Notice UniNSW/East Suburbs & Western Suburbs have been very active in the poaching (sorry recruitment) over the long break.
Tubby Pudge and Swimming Togs must have been playing the promise fiddler over the summer break. Some very good pick ups at both clubs.
St.George have been absolutely pillaged and are surely in for a long year.
All other clubs seem to be a little quiet or haven't really added. 6 weeks to go so no point hiding things at this stageComment
