Any info Practice Matches? Who's Hot and Who's not?

Anyone got info on recent practice matches?

Out of the Dockers camp I dont want to jinx anything but things are going along quite nicely.

I wouldn't have thought beating a team in 2nd division gives you too much to be confident about.

Did they chair Hally off the field when they beat the black diamond team in the trial match?

Losing some of your best players in Billy Dixon & Dan Wilson will hurt you big time.

Correct. Trial games aren't anything you can hang your hat on. Depends on who plays/how long for etc. They usually put a little wrap on the Sydney AFL site if your desperate

Whats going on with Billy. they keep refusing his transfer. Does he still have a Bar tab that needs to be finalised at the Sports club

I would have thought you would have been reasonably happy with your effor on Sat. What was the final result you were easily on top when I left.

I was stuck in cleveland st traffic when the Dockers were playing and I would say there's nothing to jinx - they were flogging Holroyd Parra which apart from about 3 blokes looked like an unfit side of old and fat blokes. Easy pickings for a prem div side and nothing to get excited about...

It was the way in which we went about things buddy... can only play the team that's put in front of you

Of course you can only play the team that's put in front of you. However, the club could obviously organise a trial match against a more fancied opposition. Maybe Balmain did this on purpose so that they can at least get one win up on the board.

True but I thought they had no forward stucture - constantly bombed long to a 3 or 4 on 1 contest.

Only saw the last Qtr as i had too work. The main thing for us was to get the new guys into a game situation and see how they went etc. We were very happy with them especially the two from First Div who handled the step up easily

Cheesecake...it's no wonder you chose that alias for yourself, as you know as much about the game as a cheesecake would. First you thought colloupas was on the field last week for eastcoast, now you're cheering about a training run against mediocre opposition..what next? never trust preseason form..just look at the NAB cup... cant wait for round 1 when everyone ties up their bootlaces..

Cheesecake, would the performance on the weekend be good enough for the powers that be down that way to sign the great Hally for another 5 years? It always suprises me that even though they finish down the bottom they are always the first to trumpet that they have resigned Hally for another year. Just out of interest, who are some of the recruits the dockers have this year that will help them climb up the ladder?
