Rooster, ease up on the chicken feed. I wasnt asking you for a comment, I was asking cheesecake. I was wondering what recruits Balmain have this year that will make them any better than what they were last year.

            Quack, Quack Duck,

Just noticed that the Sydney AFL website is actually profiling the Balmain Dockers this week. Head there for all of the inside word on recruits etc. I notice however there is no mention of the former Bulldogs no.1 backman Nick 'Nobby' O'Brien leaving the kennel to become a Docker.... Could this be one of their aces up their sleave? Cheesecake, interested to hear more!

Nobby is a fantastic bloke and is dearly missed at the Kennel. Wish him all the very best....Our loss, Balmain's gain, as they say. I am 100% certain he will fit in perfectly at the Dockers.....

Since when did this thread become the bag Balmain thread? Some you blokes need a good kick up the clacker.

Or though, i wouldnt be surprised if your trying to deflect attention from your own clubs poor recruitment thus far

Lets just see if where having the same conversation come September.

ps the Duck, if youve ever played under Hally you'd understand why he gets signed. He's got the runs on the board now and now comitting to a sideline coach only will only boost performances

what constitutes runs on the board? 4 wins and 14 losses? a winning percentage of 29%? or coming 8th out of 10 teams?

i'll tell you what constitutes runs on the board. making finals. so until that happens, all clubs would be best served just playing footy rather than trying to talk themselves up.

Your not wrong, your club will be in a lot better position with him not playing and showing what sort of squib he is.

Definately book your holidays for September

to miss finals can come down to percentages... so it does count..

                          I never bagged out anyone.

Look dissapointing loss by the Dockers but I can assure everyone that the game was alot closer than the score board suggests. Makes it difficult for the coaching staff to do much opposition scouting on a team like Campbeltown when they bring in a lot of players from outer leagues.

Good to see Dockers young guns Mobbs and Jones standing up though.

Best of luck to the Blues though, just be lucky that you caught us at the begining of the year before we could really gel.

Its the same for everyone mate. You had as many guys from other leagues if not more than us so i cant see why that would be an issue

Cheesecake, first of all I would never lower myself to play under Hally, I don?t think he would be able to teach me much. Now I understand that you are supportive of the Dockers and I respect that. I do however suggest that you read back over your notes before you post them. Your comments that Hally has got the runs on the board is extremely flawed. In the previous two years he has coached them, the Dockers have finished 10th/10 teams (2007) and 8th/10 teams (2008) and currently sits 10th/10 teams in 2009. Now I am not sure what you classify as runs on the board, but I would seriously question whether his record is that impressive. The only thing that would be impressive about those figures is if Hally was competing in the Diving at the Olympics. 10/10, 8/10 and 10/10 would almost guarantee him a spot on the podium! Runs on the board is definitely not the right phrase to use to reflect Hallys coaching career. I do however hope that your comments regarding Hally and being a sideline coach boosting his performance come to fruition. I also caught your game on the weekend and yes the scoreboard did reflect the game!
