Top 7 from ECE or WS ... haven't seen that before in your previous year's analysis where top 2 sides dominate 1-7. Guess they are the standout sides & been flogging the other teams so get most of the points. WOuld have thought they would be spreading the points around though & not just the top few dominating each week.

          what?

mate ive got 1 question for you. How can Luke Standford not be in there in your top ten, I mean he's gotta be 1 of East Coasts most vital players and probably wins the most ball for them, but other than that your list is pretty spot on. Heres 1 for the wonder coach (Damien Hall), Nick Todds been in his best 6 a lot this year yet he cant even make a top ten list on this forum, tells you something about his footy knowledge and coaching skills.
Good post mate, keep us up to date on the final rounds.

It actually says nothing about Hally as a coach (apart from he cant coach a winning team). If you would have read the actual posts these are a point rankings system based on wins to the club you play for. This is not BMR's top ten list of players. John vlatko is not the best player in the competition however due to East Coast winning so many games he rockets up the list.

And as for Nick Todd, exceptional player in a team getting thumped every week. If he played for a team higher up the ladder he would be in the top ten.

Cant really be a guide to the Phelan but more a list of who the best players are in terms of each coach. some coaches can play funny games at times with naming the best also just rubbing guys egos . The other thing is that the umpires can sometimes see things quite differently to the other couple of hundred people watching a game.
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...

                    Chalk and Cheese really

Coaches rate players on their ability to carry out instructions, do team things, etc.

Maggots on the other hand have NFI about the game!

In previous years it's been fairly good as an indication.
