Hi there all, sorry for not being online recently been on a hiatus but been following results closely.
I still stand by my comments of stand by we are coming and would like to point out a article attached here from our website Welcome to the Balmain Dockers of our recent matches and performances.
Our great coach and support staff have got things right, very positive which makes me proud to be associated which such a great club.
A few weeks back we had to forfeit, but I do not see this as a bad thing, it freshened up our sailors.
We have three weeks left and watch out all you first division clubs.... I say stand .....by because whilst we may sit on the bottom of the table we wont be for too much longer.
As you can see from this article last week was a good result, I have 110% faith in our coach and our direction and rest of the season watch out and next year.... stand by a flag is around the corner
Below you can read only reason we lost was because of officials, and our coach said with statistics things could of been a lot different.
Below is article from our website,
First Grade Coaches Report 1st August 2009

Despite a final score that resulted in a 133 point deficit, the score was no way indicative of our efforts in the first half.
We were extremely unlucky (again) to be severely reprimanded by officials who gave three goals to our opponents. The first quarter saw an 11-1 penalty count against us. To the officials credit, they admitted their emotional decisions and improved after quarter time. However, the damage was done and compounded by our inaccuracy in front of goals saw us trail by 30 points at half time.
The second half saw our opposition get the jump and proved they are a very good front running side. Players we had held to low possessions all of a sudden came to life.
As I am one for statistics, as basic as it may seem , if you put their full forward in our team, minus 11 goals from them and add 11 to us we lose by 1 point. It shows how vital a sharp shooting key full forward is to a team at this level of football.
Bush was our best and fought relentlessly in the back 50. Stevens had his best game for us this season. Turner and Todd once again showed their class when the game was in the balance.
With three weeks to go, it is a good chance for players who have recently returned from injury and the kids to prove they are capable at this level. For others, even though the results haven't gone our way, individuals such as Turner, Todd, Miller, Randall, O'Brien, Blums and Jones have had their best career seasons and should finish off their good work.

If you only count East Coast's 5.6 for the first quarter (and Balmain's 5.7 for the match), Balmain wins by a point! Surely that's deserving of a couple of premiership points??Comment

10/10 for trying to stay positive - it's not easy. On their day they can be competitive - they beat Penno and only lost to North Shore by a kick.
But how to make their day come more often. That's a challenge......

From this report am I to assume Turner and Todd were good in the warm up? I would not of thought that the game was in the balance for much more than the warm up and the first couple of minutes of the game. I along with all other Sydney AFL followers cannot wait for the Dockers to trumpet the resigning of the great man on a new 5 year deal!!The only All Australian captain charged with glassingComment

Im suprised the nswafl admin hasnt had a quiet word to the dockers about it, to imply that at quarter time the umpires admitted making "emotional" decisions is a slight on the umpires integrity.
My mail is that a merge between UTS & the Dockers is the only thing to stop them from being axed from premier division altogether.Comment
