    Finals Series 2009 Banter-All Divisions

I guess to stay "on-topic" we need to have one with the pointy end of the season looming.
    Minor Premiers look to be:
    Premier Div - ECE (Confirmed)
    Div 1 - UTS (Confirmed)
    Div 2 - Southern Power
    Div 3 - Bulldogs-Just (Sorry Pekay)
Div 4 - Sydney Uni (Confirmed)
    18's Premier - North Shore
18's Challenge - Sydney Uni (Uni have already claimed it on their website. They don't believe in waiting for fat ladies. With two games remaining, they are a win in front )

SHH we have played those clubs in contention in D3 and D4 the past two weeks and both clubs you have picked have absolutely no hope in hell based on their performances last weekend.
The Jets are a long way ahead.

All good SHH, unless Dogs drop a game, i dont think we'll catch the 20 odd % we are behind. They can have the minor, we have our eyes on the bigger one. And we'll get it.

Tara, I was simply talking minor premiers. I think it was fair to pick Sydney Uni as they are three games in front with two to play. The D3 ladder is more interesting. Nor-West should beat UTS this week in a close one and Dogs should have an easier ride against Penno. The last round sees the Dogs play UTS (tight game) and an easy win to the Jets over the Goannas. I reckon there will be a bee's doodle between them but if I was offered even money on both, would probably have my fiver on the Dogs.
Happy to see UTS and Uni get rolled in the finals though

Fair enough but having been minor premiers (ressies) a long long time ago it means nothing if you dont go all the way - nobody remembers who was minor premiers.

Also Dogs v UTS should be tight but then it depends on whos playing who in the divisons above and how much the minor premiership means to the dogs. Given how many times they have been bridesmaids in D2 Id have thought winning the comp would be their main objective.

The lads from Uni have attended a maths lesson and taken down their claim that the CC Minor Premiership was already a done deal. Well done students !

Must have been a clerical oversight. Maybe whoever edits the website will be able to put the article about the 18s back up now as it appears that they are reasonably safe bets for first past the post - unless of course they get beaten this weekend and Southern Power can win by 1000 points.

Congratulations to both SUANFC teams for their seasons thus far - hopefully their good form continues into the finals.

I suspect the side from Uni that you played a couple of weeks back will be markedly different to the one that is rolled out at finals time. As there is about 40 blokes to pick from, half the side is rotated in each week. To my knowledge, the Reds have defeated Nor West both times this year and would be well placed to do so again.

Maybe but I have seen the Jets and I know they have more to come but good luck anyway.

Out of curiosity, Tara, who was your number 36 with the beard against Uni? To say his behaviour was beyond @@@@ that day is an understatement and I'm just glad he had terrible aim.

Not sure - are we talking ressies? If it is who I think it may be then Im surprised but have to admit that I was struggling to do much more than breathe after filling in after not playing any 18's last week in seniors. Also struggling to see as I didnt have my contacts in.

I'm trying to figure out what's sadder, the fact that you obviously had a reply in mind to this old post, or that fact that you blokes won a flag yesterday and 1) that you are awake, 2) that you are coherent enough to type anything?? You should join a Christian League!!

And its only a gee up, congrats on your win. Now go out and get drunk for God's sake.
