North Shore Legends on Display
It's the final round of the 2009 North Shore season and it's a round that will attract plenty of interest at Gore Hill on Saturday. Not because off the blockbuster clash between North Shore and Balmain but for the names that are lining up for North Shore vs UTS in the Div 1 game at 12pm. The accolades are many so lets run through a few:
Former AFL Players: Andrew Bomford (Sydney Swans & Essendon) and Daniel McPherson (Sydney Swans)
North Shore Team of the Century Members: Andrew Bomford and Matthew Parker
Phelan Medallist: Jarrod Crosby
Rod Podbury Medallists: Jarrod Crosby and Daniel McPherson
Sanders Medallist: Paul Rowles
100+ goal kicker in a season: Paul Rowles
Former Club Captains: Matthew Parker, Mark Livy
Current Club Captain: Adam Lord
Premiership Players: Matthew Parker, Mark Livy, Daniel Kulk, Chris Tyrell, Ben Sheidow, Jarrod Crosby, Andrew Bomford, Adam Lord, Chris McLachlan and Daniel McPherson
We still on for that bet???Comment

Adam Lord's been out injured for 2 months. He may have just got himself fit to play - but not being match-fit wants a hit-out in the ressies.

North Shore v Balmain Dockers by 45 points - Big day for the Bombers and they'll go out a winner against a team looking for the off-season.
St George v Campbelltown by 21 points - I've been underestimating the Towners all season and something suggests St George are a chance here. But I can't pick them.
Sydney University v UNSW-ES by 53 points - the Bulldogs are barking loudly at the right end of the season and have produced the form we've been waiting for all season. Have to be flag favourites again.
Wollongong v East Coast Eagles by 40 points - the Lions will put up a good fight against an Eagles' team travelling well below its best and looking for the week off next week. Gus will get his ton and his team should still win comfortably though.
Western Suburbs v Pennant Hills by 5 points - should be an absolute cracker for the opening ceremony of BOP. Dunno why, but I like the Demons and think Wests, like ECE, are stumbling a little bit heading into the finals. If they can rediscover their form, however, they win and win well.
And in Div 1, I reckon the Bats will still win."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.
