[QUOTE=Doormat;458177]Yeah right PK. Unleash like you did after the game. I know it was hard to vent, as the boys left you out on the steps at henson. We are all upset with what UTS had done to us. Don't understand what UTS have achieved when they need to stack a team against us.

You're kidding yourself aren't you champ? You can't stack a side when all 3 teams are playing on the same weekend. As Pekay mentioned, there were a lot of changes from the last time Nor West played us, we also had 17 injuries that weekend from our 1s & 2s squads.
In every game there is going to be a cross-road, and when you get to that cross-road you either step up, or you step down!

How does that work? Aren't there a minimum number of games hat have to be played to qualify for the finals?

Batman, please don't take what Doormat has said as anything representing the Nor-West Football Club. He has nothing to do with us, although, as the person responsible for setting up a Twitter page in my name, you'd be inclined to think he wants to be a Jet.
We were beaten fair and square, within the parameters of the by-laws, we had our chances to beat a team which appeared to be stacked with players from a higher grade (to the untrained eye) but couldn't get over the line, and that, as i have maintained, is footy. We deal with it as such, no sour grapes, we would've used the same by-law if we had the chance. I don't necessarily agree with it, but i can't change it either.
Shotties- the by-laws in question (6.7-6.12) state that if a team has multiple teams playing finals on the same weekend, they may use players not necessarily qualified for that grade. Some of the players that were in Div 3 against us had played upwards of 9 games in Division 2, which would render them unqualified for Div 3, but not under that particular by-law. It all came down to player management by the UTS staff, and the stars aligned so they had 3 grades play on the same weekend. I believe East Coast had a similar scenario on Grand Final day last year, however i'm not sure if any players went up or down.
Doormat, your Twitter shrine to me needs updating. And really, you have no idea. RGs has no steps, no one left me outside the sheds at Henson, i didn't go off my handle after the game, seriously, get some rope and do us all a favour, its getting old.

            The By Laws in question

Player Eligibility - AFL Sydney Senior Football (Amended 11/11/2008)
6.7 The following eligibility provisions shall apply to the finals series:

A player must have played a minimum of four (4) home and away games in the
current season in either that division , a lower division or the under age competition
            for his club.
            - Divisions 4
A player must have played a minimum of four (4) home and away games in the
current season for his club team in which he is selected to play in the finals.
            - Under Age Grade:
A player must have played a minimum of four (4) home and away games in the
current season for his club team in which he is selected to play in the finals.
            6.8 (Deleted 11/11/2008)
Player Eligibility ? General (Amended 11/11/2008)
6.9 A player is only permitted to play in one finals match for his club on any given
            weekend.
6.10 Subject to by laws 6.11 and 6.12 any player who has played in a total of nine or more
home and away matches in a higher division(s) shall not be eligible to play final
            matches in a lower division.
6.11 Where a club has all senior football and under age teams playing in finals on the same
weekend, a player must have played four home and away matches with his club (four
under age home and away matches and be under the age limit in the case of under
age finals) to be eligible to play in any of those finals.
            .
6.12 Where a club has multiple senior football teams playing in finals on the same weekend,
and where these teams are consecutively ranked (based on league competition
structure), the only restriction under this By-Law is that -
? Clubs may play players one division lower (based on league competition structure)
than the lowest division for which they are eligible on a stand alone basis in terms

As i said, good player management by the Bats staff not to over qualify players in certain grades. Was a big enough headache for two teams, cant imagine four!
