I can't help thinking that playing in the heat today will have been very draining; and to have only 6 days turnaround before playing a team that has had a week off won't be easy.
The long-range forecast for next weekend suggests it could be another warm one next Saturday - so maybe the experience from today will be something those teams can take into next week....

I'll tip East Coast in Premier Division, UTS in First Division and North Shore in the Under 18s. But it's sure to be an absorbing day, and Grand Final Day in recent years has a history of throwing up unexpected results.

I'm tipping the Bulldogs to win by 8 goals. I've backed them all year. They showed on the weekend that they haev what it takes. To be beaten by 20 goals 2 weeks ago and then come back and beat Wests was a massive achievement. Mudge and co's gameplan was outstanding.

They will be too tall for the Eagles who lack quality talls across the ground apart from Wilson and Seebeck. They simply won't be able to match Shaw, Luff, Coupe, Bradfield, Pech, Lavery & Abbott. Bulldogs have the best ruckman / rover combination the league with Shaw & Beardsley (throw in Calloupas) and this will be too much for the Eagles. They showed 4 weeks ago that they will be too big and strong for East Coast.

Would have to agree with this. I think Uni have too many experienced big game players compared to East Coast, and if Uni can start well and apply some scoreboard pressure early i think last years demons could surface for the hills boys. Cant believe im saying this but i hope they win 1st Div to silence a few people crowing on about how good Uts are( i do hope they come into Premier Div next year though so we really see how they compete at the top level) and i hope the Dragons fire up against the Bombers
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...

ECE by 10 goals for mine. UNSW/ES have done well to get in but thats where it will end.

Had Centrebet been doing betting markets in previous years, I can imagine that punters would have got their fingers burned with North Shore in 2003, Wests in 2005 and East Coast in 2006. There's no such thing as a certainty....

I'm still amazed a betting market exists for our comp. I've never had an online betting account, so it's not me - but there must be someone out there who wants a flutter on Sydney AFL.
Who knows where Centrebet are getting their information from. There could be some interesting odds for games next year if it's coming from here.....
