if you had near on 100 players on your list at your club, with 4 teams and players missing out on playing footy every week, its safe to say that the best 22 players at that club would win a division one flag (second best 22 players at a premier league club).

it would be interesting to know which club has the largest number of registered players on their roster. Norris would you know? i'd bet london to a brick that it's uts.

I have no idea. But if you count under 18s, Sydney Uni would have to be up there.

Sydney Uni and UTS by far - an example is when they played each other in lower grades, they played an extra match with the guys who missed out on a game in their lowest team. Plenty of depth!!! and good luck to them for it!

Doing admin after home games against the three big uni's this year (UTS, Sydney Uni, UNSW/ES) for those that have done it, you'd know that sometimes players pull out, therefore you have to scroll through their player list to find the replacement player, then place him on the list. An absolute nightmare (well,for admins and opposition clubs alike, a dream for their club) to look through the troves of cattle they have at their disposal. I know from our list, and we had about 80 or so players (some inactive) that the amount of scrolling down for these clubs was incredible, that is to assume that they were all active players on their list of course, but taking 80% of them being active into account, well, still massive numbers, no wonder they represented 8 of the 14 grand final spots over 7 grades.
UTS should be in Premier Division in 2010 or 2011, be it on their own or with the supposed Balmain merger. You'd think Trumper Park would be used as a training and playing base for a start, but not exactly a showpiece ground for the Premier Division, despite its rich history.

Hey Trusty ..... thanks for your best wishes from over in the West.

The victory was a result of a combined effort from "a thousand people" over the years - not just me.

By the way, they weren't all Crownies, but it may have got close to that number.
