    Div 4

However, across the league below Prem League, expect the league to try and even out all Div's for 2010.

    My picks:
Div 1 = St George down and Mac Uni & Power to go up from 2 to 1 - puts a bye in draw but can not see league dropping Nth Shore. Also can not see them leaving Sharks in Div 2 as will produce even wider gap than 2009 season with Mac Uni going up.

Div 2 = St George down from Div 1, UNSW/ES & Nor West up from Div 3 - were clear teams of the year even though Nor West dropped finals and UTS finished higher. Can't see ECE being dropped from 1 to 2, so another bye.

Div 3 & Div 4 become quite difficult. Could be any number of changes.

Div 3 = Campbelltown down from Div 2 and Syd Uni up.

Div 4 = Think will stay as is other than Syd Uni up, produces bye though. Gets pretty complicated with Holroyd unable to be relegated from Div 3 (after not winning a game) as already have a team in Div 4 and Syd Uni clearly option up from Div 4 to 3.

10 teams in each comp is probably the perfect fit for mine.. with 18 games ..
one down and one up.. Balmain down and UTS up.
One option for division 4 is perhaps to regionalise it. Split div 4 into 2 zones.
This would cut down on the travel and may reduce forfeits. May even encourage new teams/players. Based on a previous suggestion about Sharks and Randwick possibly fielding a team next year,

    Central div 4

    Syd Uni
    Unsw
    Manly
    Sharks
    Randwick (if accepted}
    UTS

    Southwest div 4

    Camden
    Norwest
    Penrith
    Moorbank
    Holroyd
    Mac Uni

Two premiers to div 3. And rejig the two div 4 comps each year on geographical location.

That would complicate things even further - You could have teams the split over three venues on the same day.

I think UTS will need to have under18 to go up. Dont care about Balmain, up, down, dont care, just do somethink.

Other clubs havent had them in the past - I agree that you should be developing for the future but if you ask other inner city clubs they will tell you there arnt many kids of their own to develop.

To be considered PL though you really should be ticking all the boxes in terms of administration etc etc and from what I see they certainly are doing that now - their only drawback is their oval but surely the council could be persuaded to improve it - wouldnt take much and its location would certainly keep locals coming to watch.

Look at clubs in the VFL like Port Melb - they recruit and despite being standalone in direct competition to AFL aligned clubs continue to be more than competitive - being well run and with a Gary Ayres at the helm will see them continue to be thereabouts.

I'd imagine the biggest problem with Trumper Oval (apart from size) is it's tendancy to be rained out. Living in the area I see an awful lot of work being done year round on that ground to try to relieve the water congestion under the surface.

As for making it bigger, I'm not sure there is room, unless you destroy part of the reserve it's attached to. Can't imagine the locals would be happy about that.

Dont really think it needs to be bigger but im sure you could achive giving it an extra 5mtrs at each end and each wing - may may it tight walking around on the far side - Surface could be improved but certainly not the worst going around - I was more referring to the over allfacilities and access to the ground - I like the change rooms etc but parking is probably the biggest drawback - if there was able to be made an area near by that could be made available for parking within walking distance with another at the ground kept available for visiting officials with the equipment, jumpers it could work. Another alternative could be petition the AFL the build real facilities at the Bus Road ground and keep it pristine.

I'm sure that if it was necessary they could find a home ground somewhere. Now that the Eagles have a home the PD could do with another travelling wilbury club.

I heard someone say on here that Balmain had very few good youngsters coming through. I think that was a harsh comment, having watched them this year play against Wests. There was some definate talent in that side.

Joe Britton and Bryce Singleton were very impressive. They had a couple of old glebe boys who were good.

Whilst Balmain is a joke of a club, I dont know how people can say that they should be relegated. There 18s were 7th outta 10. Put UTS in the top flight and they would need an under 18s. I would hate to see that, there arent enough young players around this area to support five under 18s teams. (Wests, Balmain, Sydney Uni, Easts,UTS).

Why does everyone keep saying this? Im sure Syd Uni have never had an 18s till this year
The edge is not the limit, It's just the starting point...
