Which Sydney AFL team's President has told their presentation night last Friday that they will shortly be the richest club in Sydney??? They were also told that they would spend heavily in 2010 to turn the club around. A final "throw of the dice"? Or is it the first throw? Will anyone jump ship to "anchor" their future?

I'm told by someone that was there that the President said that the redevelopment is all systems go. Perhaps someone who was there can comment?

my spies tell me it was a great speech but lacks a lot of substance, it was a good tactic to try and keep players from moving on but not much will come of it.

it will take more when having money to be a good club, but it may help if they get a good coach. I here a big name could be on the cards

I can not understand why the distain for Balmain as surely us AFL believers want all all clubs to be strong in this this non AFL pagan state.

Tom, i think you will find that most of the jibes at Balmain here are caused because of some of the dribble that has come before from people from that club on these pages. If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. Most of us on here either know who the other posters are or know that alot of what is said is tongue-in-cheek. As i said though some of it is just a little niggle at individuals who carry on on here, im sure most of us would rather not see them getting smashed every week
